We really liked this! I used rosemary/oregano seasoned tomatoes that I "smooshed" with my potato masher. My only additions were coarse ground pepper & a few shakes of salt with shredded cheese sprinkled on top upon serving. Next time I will probably reduce the cream cheese by half, but this was delicious! Thanks for sharing the recipe!

This recipe was fantastic. I made it for a party and it was completely gone afterwards. I tried it before the cream cheese and after and I will never make tomato soup without cream cheese again. The only thing was that it took a long time to melt the cream cheese.

Outstanding! Words really cannot describe how good this soup really is. I added chopped fresh garlic to the onions and butter. I also used Roasted Basil and garlic tomatoes the first time I made it. The second time I made it I used the plain ones. Either way, you cannot go wrong. This soup will be a permanent staple in my house. My four-year old and one-year old loved this soup!

This was delicious! You absolutely cannot taste the canned tomato soup the recipe requires (which I was concerned about as I do not like it). I did add quite a bit more garlic than called for and left out the sugar. I also added onion powder, a large amount of pepper, and a tsp or less of Accent. I pureed the majority of the tomatoes and onions in the blender before cooking, though I did leave some diced tomatoes and onions intact for texture. Will definitely be making again!

Sooo good. Used a little less cream cheese, but otherwise followed recipe.

Delicious, I made it spicy by using a can of fire roasted tomatoes and one of tomatoes w/jalepenos, came out with the perfect kick to it. Also used half the cream cheese and topped w/cheddar cheese, will definitely make again!

I made a half recipe of this but I kept the spices the same. I added a shake of Frank's Hot Sauce. I did use fresh garlic instead of garlic powder and I sauteed it with the onion. We really liked this. Great soup for me, who seems to have a sore throat today, and a filling lunch for the kids with a grilled cheese.
