Very easy to make, and quite tasty. This is a bit too sweet for me, so next time I will use a little less sugar.

Absolutely delicious! I used some leftover rice that I had from lunch. I added cinnamon. I did not add salt because my rice was salted when it was cooked earlier. I will be making this again.

Very good flavor. Extremely easy to make. Just make sure to stir the mixture a lot when it's cooking. It will quickly stick to the bottom of the pan! I added cinnamon to it, as a personal preference. My husband and picky, 1 year old loved it!

This recipe was easy, easy, easy and it turned out delicious! I replaced 1/2 cup of heavy cream for the last 1/2 cup of milk, added some orange peel for some extra flavor and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Thank you Erica G. for an easy rice pudding!

I had never made rice pudding before because my boys didn't like rice but I tried this recipe today and it is simply delicious. It didn't thicken as quickly as I thought it should until I added the rest of the milk, the egg and the raisins. As it cooled, it thickened nicely. I served it with some fresh nutmeg on top and whipped cream. It was a great way to use my leftover rice. Thank you, All Recipes!

Coming from a girl that has ruined rice on numerous occasions.... this recipe is virtually impossible to screw up. Follow the directions to a tee and you'll be fine. To repeat another users words of wisdom...once the sugar is added the rice stops cooking. So check that the rice is the right texture first. Many thanks to Erica G for a great recipe. :o)

This is a great recipe. If you are dairy sensitive like most members of my family do not worry. I made this with vanilla soy milk and it came out creamy and delicious. I added a bit of nutmeg and cinnamon. It had the perfect sweetness and creaminess.

This tasted more like a rice custard dessert than the typical rice pudding to which I am used to eating. Also, it wasn't very sweet. I would easily double the sugar needed, especially if not adding raisins (for added sweetness). Overall, this is a good basic recipe that definitely tastes better than anything you could find store bought. I will probably look for another recipe but, in the meantime, would be willing to try this again.

Absolutely the best, and easiest rice pudding I have ever made. I agree to using the medium grain rice. I eliminated the raisins because of personal preference.

OMG! We love this recipe. It's easy and delicious. I made it with long grain rice because that's what I had. I also used evaporated milk (the 1&1/2 cups) & half & half for the other 1/2 cup. I added cinnamon and nutmeg when I added the vanilla. It made 6 dishes, not 4 like the recipe says.

I tried this recipe and it just didn't work out for me, it didn't thicken and the eggs scrambled despite the fact that I tempered them. I redid this recipe with advice from a friend and used Arborio rice (because it has a high content of starch that will help thicken the rice pudding). I also added corn starch to the recipe like this: I mixed 2 tbsp of corn starch with 1/2 c of milk and then added the egg in and beat the mix lightly with a fork and it formed this light frothy and foamy texture. Then I added that into the mix and that helped to thicken it up. It worked out so much better this way!

I used cooked rice I'd frozen from an overly ambitious stuffed pepper project this summer and this proved to be easy and delicious. I substituted pineapple tidbits for raisins but otherwise followed the recipe exactly. Thanks for sharing. We loved it.

Personally I dont like my rice pudding too sweet. Cut back on the sugar let the raisins naturally sweeten it and add a dash of cinnamon at the end. One of the better ones though - really good.

This is definitely one of the best rice pudding recipes I've yet found. My family loves rice pudding but are particularly fussy about it so finding this exquisite gem is a real treat! We like it a bit thicker so I double the recipe and use 3 egg yolks instead.
