Like other reviewers, I added 1/2 tsp of ginger and nearly 1 tsp more of salt. It was still DELICIOUS! Will definitely make this again!

This was my first attempt at pumpkin soup. I followed some of the suggestions by other reviewers - added a bit of carrot, a dash of clove, a clove of garlic. I used fresh, baked pumpkin and homemade chicken stock - and the soup was delicious. The only thing I found was that it does taste a bit more potatoey than pumpkiny, which is why I'm only giving it 4 stars. Next time I'm going to add more pumpkin!

We had never had pumpkin soup until we had a big pumpkin after Halloween that we didn't know what to do with! This recipe is absolutely great!

This was good but a little watery. I would cut back on the broth. I added in some gloves and a little extra nutmeg. I will definitely make this one again as it was very good!

This was my first time making pumpkin soup and it was a complete winner with my family. I used fresh baked pumpkin instead of canned and I did tweak the spices a bit as it was bland. I doubled the nutmeg, salt, and I added cayenne pepper. I used peppered bacon and chives, instead of parsley. This soup tasted delicious and had a GREAT kick to it! I have already been questioned when i making MORE!? Love to try new recipes and this one will carry on! :)

I made this for a holloween pot luck-I used canned sweet potatoes instead, and used vegatable broth, and I also used soy milk.....had sour cream on the side if anybody wanted it. It was good with out it but if you added the sour cream it made it creamy. Everybody wanted the recipe
