I changed only one thing. I added a few minced garlic cloves in with the leeks while they were sauteing. I also didn't measure the cream or broth. My boyfriend has decided that he is buying leeks anytime he sees them now so I can make this really easy and really tasty soup.

This soup was not only easy, it was also delicious THe only tweek I did was to pull 1/2 the potatos out near the end and puree what was in the pot including the leeks with my submersion blender and then add the chunk potatos back....was awesome...

Everyone loved this even though the rest of the family are not a fans of potatoes but I am. I made as per recipe and it is so good. This way I can enjoy my potatoes along with the non-potato eaters. Thanks Anabanana

This was my frist attempt at homemade soup and it was a SMASH! Amazingly delicious and creamy, the only downfall is there wasn't enough. Definitely doubling recipe next time.

MOST AWESOME SOUP EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also added a few onions to the leaks, used evaporated milk instead of cream, and peppered the soup at the end. FANTASTIC!!!!! and so cheap to make.

This was AWESOME! So easy to make and hardly needs any extra flavor. I didnt put in the full amount of bacon, as I find it can be very over powering. All i added was an extra Leek and a little salt and pepper. I used half and half cream instead of heavy cream and pureed some of the potato (very little). I ended up adding more chicken stalk with some corn starch because I like thick soups. I over cooked my potatos. Next time I will only cook them half way, put in all my ingredients and then let it boil together, this way the flavors mix nicely. We ate it the next day and it was fabulous! I will continue to make this soup! It was a hit with my family.

This soup was great. I used canned milk (what I had available) and yellow and red potatoes. I don't think it could have been better. Thanks for the recipe!

Yummy! I kept all the bacon grease in for flavour. And I used milk instead of cream. I think I would like this better if I blended everything and then added the bacon. Very warm and hearty. Perfect for a cold day.
