Wonderful! Beats a premade mix any day, and isn't even in the same category as something like swiss miss.

The snow has finally arrived, so I have decided to take it upon myself to find the most delicious and decedent hot chocolate recipe on the web. I adore hot chocolate and really don’t need any excuse to drink it… This recipe was made of pretty basic pantry ingredients which I liked! The taste was not quite as creamy as I expected, it’s very sweet. So unless you have a sweet tooth you may want to cut down on the sugar. It’s a pretty good starting point but the search much go on!!!

Phenomenal! Life saver as my frozen kids demand hot cocoa after slay riding and I forgot to buy the powder and had no chocolate syrup! I did have coca though and this recipe did the trick! Thanks!

Perfect on a wintry day! I substituted splenda for the sugar and used skinny cow skim milk, less calories, but tastes delicious. Add whip cream and mini chocolate chips and it is a hit.

Wow..Didn't seem like anything special at first, but my husband was licking the rim of his mug and asking for more! I followed the other recommendations and lowered the sugar and it was still on the sweet side...Keep this in mind, especially if you plan on adding marshmallows of whipped topping! YUM!

This is a keeper! Like others, I reduced the sugar to 1/2 cup and only had skim milk on hand. For simplicity, I used 1 tsp of vanilla instead of 3/4 tsp. Hubby used 1/2 & 1/2 while I went without. Both were delicious. Thanks!

Just Fantastic. This is by far the best hot cocoa I have ever had. I highly suggest 1 tsp homemade vanilla

This was fabulous and so easy to make. I added a little more water to cut back on the sweetness, but other than that it was perfect. I know everyone will love it at our family Christmas Eve Party this year!

Made this with 1/2c sugar at the suggestion of previous reviewers. I also left out the half & half at the end, I just served it like it came out of the pan! ABSOLUTELY perfect for a cold evening, now hubby wants some every night! Thanks for the recipe.

SOOO delicious! and I have never particularly liked hot chocolate. I got tired of paying so much for powdered hot cocoa in the store, so I looked up a recipe. this was the first one I tried and I'm sticking with it. my kids LOVE it! I took the advice of some of the reviews and reduced the sugar to 1/2 a cup instead of 3/4. It was just perfect.

This is the first time I was making homemade hot chocolate. I am really picky about my hot chocolate and I just did not like this recipe and neither did my husband. He said he prefers swiss miss over this recipe.

This was the best hot chocolate ever. I've never made it from scratch just the packets and I've got to say it does not even compare. YUM! I would definitely use less sugar, about 1/2 C next time, and I used Dark Chocolate cocoa because it's what was in the house. Then topped off with a little whip cream of course. I plan on making a lot of this stuff over the winter. =)

Yummy! I followed other reviewers' advice and cut the sugar to 1/2 cup and it was plenty sweet! I also discovered halfway through making this that I didn't have enough milk (only 2 cups) so I topped the rest of the 3.5 cups with half-and-half. It was delicious!! We loved it after putting up our Christmas lights in the cold!
