This is a good basic recipe for hot cocoa. We garnished ours with whipped cream, and used a mix of skim and 1% milk and left out the half-n-half.

Very good! I used 1/2 white sugar instead of 3/4 cup white sugar as other reviews suggested and it turned out perfect. The name is right too, it's nice and creamy! I put some Reddi Whip and chocolate sprinkles on top. Big hit with the hubby and kids!

Yummmm!!! I halved the recipe to make it just for myself. I followed the recommendations of other reviewers and cut the sugar in half. Tastes just as good as Starbucks hot cocoa! Will definitely make this again!

Really delicious hot chocolate! I don't think I'll ever try another recipe. I also reduced the sugar to 1/2 cup and skipped the half and half, I just used 4 cups whole milk. I put a dollop of cool whip and used the fine side of a cheese grater to grate some milk chocolate on top. My kids were delighted!!

This is a very good hot cocoa recipe! I like to dry roast the cocoa in a pan to bring out the flavor, then I add Splenda (less than 1/2 cup), salt and hot water. This was very good. Next I am going to see if I can make it better by making 1/2 of it Baker's chocolate and adding honey and cinnimon! Thanks for the recipe!

Great recipe. I cut the recipe in half because I was only making it for two. I do recommend if you use the full serving recipe that you use only 1/2 cup of sugar. I plan to make this on Christmas morning. This was very easy to make. I will be passing this recipe on for sure. Thanks!

I did not have half and half or vanilla so i used a 1/2 cup of heavy cream and 1/4 teaspoon of almond extract. My brother didn't care for the almond,my mother enjoyed it and said it was very rich and tasted like the hot chocolate at starbucks.I thought it was good,i will probably not use the almond again but i will make this hot coco again if the mood strikes me,I may also try coconut extract as another reviewer mentioned

Delicious! Did make a few changes to suit my taste buds..... when I removed it from the heat I added a 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract & 1 cup half-and-half. Then when I served it I put a spoonful of Cool Whip on top!

Mmmmm.... I'd never made hot cocoa from scratch, and was pleased to discover how creamy and delicious this was. Sugar should definitely be cut to half a cup.

We just got back from a cold, chilly day out at a Christmas parade. This hot cooca was superb! Quick to make and waaaay better than a packet. A perfect way to take the chill off and get all snuggly at home with the family.

I didn't have vanilla extract, so I used 3/4 tsp. coconut extract. It was deeelicious!! Way better than if I had used vanilla extract. I also cut the sugar down to 1/2 cup and I didn't have the half & half, so I just added some coffee creamer. UMM, UMM, UMM!
