I used the website to scale it down to one serving. I enjoyed it, but it was too sweet for my taste. The next time I will cut back on the sugar.

This was an exceptional recipe. I tried the full amount of sugar and the 1/2 cup that everyone recommended and they both were good, but I preferred using a little bit less than 1/2 a cup just because I like my chocolate a little on the not-so-sweet side. Extremely easy to make. Thank you.

Too sweet. I followed the recipe instead of the reviews. Very, very sweet. Try it with less sugar.

This is excellent, except I only use 1/2 cup sugar. Otherwise it's too sweet.

Darn good Cocoa. It's exceptional with a scoop of mint chocolate chip ice cream in it.

Fabulous! I used 1/4 c. cocoa and a little less than 1/2 c. sugar - it was sweet enough and chocolatey enough for us!

Excellent recipe! I will never buy premade mix again. I didn't have any half and half so I just used 4 cups of 1% milk and cut the sugar down to 1/2 cup as suggested and it was perfect! My girls thought is was much better than the store made mix and they had fun making it.

I made enough for just little old me and it was delicious! It is a bit on the sweet side as some other viewers noted, but i loved it!! I used evaporated milk as I did not have half/half but it is still a 5 star recipe in my eyes! Bravo!

I've never had real hot cocoa before, always stuff from a can or a box. It's pretty good. I didn't have cream and was 1/2 a cup short on the milk quota, so it's very chocolatey and sort of thick that way. It's all right, I will have to try it again!

This recipe was pretty good. I used less than 1/2 cup sugar, and I left out the half-and-half. It was creamy and not too sweet. I also added whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon on top.

I made a single-cup serving. The single-cup serving calls for three tablespoons of sugar, but instead I used two. And I used fat-free half and half. Those were the only two differences. It tastes great.

I combine this recipe with the "Moscow Hot Chocolate" recipe for a GREAT winter warm up. I don't add the half and half, it doesn't need it...you could use fat free half and half if you're as horrified as I am by the fat content...

This turned out much tastier than I was expecting. I scaled it down to 1 serving and used only 1/2 tbs. sugar. Insteady of whipping cream, I used flavored coffee creamer and it was delicious.

I agree with the others. Reduce the sugar to just under 1/2 cup and it's perfect. I used whole milk as well for a creamier texture.

Good Stuff! I didn't have half and half so I added some powdered creamer and it turned out great. I also added a pinch of cinnamon...very good on a cold night!
