This is a good, easy appetizer. I've made it with the small pumpernickel cocktail breads instead of a baguette. Nice presentation.

Instead of worrying about the crackers or bread getting soggy, and also to save calories/carbs, I just sliced the cucumber into 1/4" thick rounds and spread the cream cheese mixture on top, then sprinkled with dill. It might not be for everyone, but we loved it. We also loved the recipe as is, too!

These were a hit. I was asked for the recipe. I used a potato peeler for the cucumbers. They were very thin and just right. Thanks for this fresh and summery appetizer.

Yum!!! Make sure you buy the zesty Italian-style salad dressing mix, I picked up the homestyle by mistake.....not nearly as tasty.

These were good, and simple. I have used cocktail rye bread, baguette and white bread. I always put fresh dill on top. They looked very pretty and are so light and refreshing in the spring. I think prefer soft white bread (crusts cut off-and I cut into shapes or triangles) as I think the chewiness of baguette and the dryness of the cocktail bread just do not work as well. Overall, delightful.

I used crackers instead which is ok if you plan on eating them quickyly not ok if they sit. The cracker gets soggy. Next time i will use the sliced baquets.

Easy to make. I had a number of canapes and this was rated the favourite by my guests. I used fresh dill and half the italian dressing mix. Made the mixture the night before to allow the flavours to blend.

Made exactly as written. They were a big hit. I think maybe a bit less of the italian dressing though.

Good...but used less of the dry Italian salad mix (too salty) and added a squirt of lemon juice and a little dill in the mix, not just on top.
