Excellent frosting. I'm not a big fan of chocolate, but my husband, who is, loved it. Will be making it again, though I wouldn't mind tips on how to make it not runny.

Great for a quick chocolate frosting. I used 2% milk instead of evaporated because I didn't want to waste it. Came out very shiny. Good flavor though. I used it to frost the German Sweet Chocolate Cake I, and it was a good combo. Not quite enough for a good thickness on the side plus decoration though, I really had to stretch it. I'll double it next time :) Update: I made this again, doubled it, and used the evaporated milk and it was MUCH better!!!! It wasn't as shiny and weird as the first time and I used it on the German chocolate cake again. I liked it better this time, be careful not to add too much evaporated milk though or it will get runny quick!

Not a bad frosting, but I had trouble getting it fluffy. Overall good though.

PROS: Good color, easy to make, will make again CONS: A bit to sweet (to cut down the sweetness next time I would increase the coco by 1 tbs and reduce the sugar by 1 to 2 tbs.

I followed the recipe, but used a total of 3 cups sugar, and 6 Tbsp evaporated milk. I think regular milk may be a bit too little flavor for it, but as written, it's hands-down the most awesome chocolate frosting I've ever had! I'm going to try this in lemon and vanilla too, just to see what could happen :)

I just made this frosting the taste was wonderful, I had to make a second batch because me and my daughter couldn't stop eating it by the spoonful...we didn't have enough to frost the cake lol! I used my kitchen aid mixer and I think the trick to making it extra fluffy is to whip it on high speed for a few minutes and it gets really light and fluffy. I ran out of vanilla and I didn't even miss it, it was still perfect! Thank you!

This was not 'the best; chocolate frosting that I have ever made, but it is definately the easiest...and I am lazy so I find myself making it time and time again. I have made it with evaporated milk and regular, and cannot really tell a difference (it is so sweet that you can't taste it either way).

So yummy! I followed this recipe exactly...except for one thing. I couldn't bring myself to buy a 2 cup container of evaporated milk to only use 5 Tbsp so I made my own by reducing a little bit of milk. I added the milk while it was still hot which I was worried would affect the consistency but it didn't. It came out rich and delicious. This will definitely be my go to recipe whenever I need chocolate frosting. YUMMY!!

Delicious frosting. I did have to add a little bit of 2% milk to thin it out a bit. But it was fluffy and yummy!

I made this to top the chocolate cupcakes my son and i made this morning. You can keep the cupcake, I'll just take a bowl of frosting! It is incredibly creamy and smooth. Just the right amount of chocolate-y goodness. The only change I made was to sub skim milk for the evaporated milk. If you're looking for a creamy chocolate frosting, your search has ended. Here it is!!! :)

Simple & yummy. I used this frosting on the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cupcake recipe from this site. Easy ingredients. Very light, smooth taste. So much better than the waxy store bought kind.

This is the first time I have made chocolate frosting and this recipe is out of this world! It is creamy and delicious and the frosting really holds its shape. There was plenty of frosting for two dozen cupcakes and a few leftover spoonfuls for the cook! I did not modify it and LOVE LOVE LOVE it!
