So delicious!!! Way better than canned frosting and so easy to make! I will never buy frosting from the store again. Came out so fluffy and had just the right amount of chocolate! Everyone loved it! Thanks for the recipe!

Very chocolaty and easy to make. I was just disappointed that it wasn't as light and fluffy as I had hoped. It was more dense and creamy. I made a 1.5 batch and it was just enough for my layer cake. Any less wouldn't have iced the entire cake. I will definitely use this again.

I found this a quick one to whip up. Rather sweet, but good. Whippy, creamy consistency. Didn't have canned milk, but used chocolate milk........lol, ummmmm good!!!

This recipe is not all that. I know Tracy meant well, but I made it, just to try something different. It was way to "runny" and the taste was not that great. I'll stick to my moms recipe which is out of this world. Sorry I can't rate it higher-I have to be honest.

Great recipe! Very tasty and easy to use. Nice and simple to make, and tastes delicious. Tastes very chocolaty, which I liked. I ended up adding an extra tablespoon of the milk, to make it a bit creamier (and easy to spread), and subbed half-and-half for the evaporated milk.

This icing was delicious! Tasted almost like the kind in the can (yum) but more fluffy which made it perfect! Better than buttercream. Just enough chocolate. I made a batch and 1/2 and was able to frost and fill a 2 layer 9" round cake.

Even if you are not fond of powdered sugar frostings, you will like this one!! It is super yummy, does not taste like powdered sugar like other recipes, and has the perfect chocolate flavor... Two thumbs up!! God Bless YOU!

I made this chocolate frosting to put between layers of cake. I added a bit more powdered sugar so it was a little more stiff to hold up the 4 layers of cake. It not only did the trick of holding up layers of cake, it was delicious and so easy to make.

I love this simple frosting recipe I just used it on my chocolate pudding cupcakes. I half the recipe though cuz I am frosting about 24 cupcakes. It works well with my cupcakes. Will surely make it to frost my cupcakes again.

Delish. Used Hershey's Unsweetened Cocoa Powder. I doubled the dry ingredients & butter and alternated adding 1/3 cup of the cocoa/sugar mixture and 1T of the evaporated milk at a time to my mixer. I lost count of how many tablespoons of evaporated milk I used-- I just kept going until it was the consistency I wanted. I also added 1 tsp of salt-- I think this was key to the slightly bittersweet taste of the frosting which was great. This frosting was perfect for piping; doubling the recipe, I was able to frost 47 cupcakes and still have more leftover. My new favorite chocolate frosting recipe!

This was a great recipe. A keeper for sure. Great taste without being overwhelming. A doubled recipe gave me just enough to stack and frost a 3 layer cake.

This was exactly what I was looking for. I did as someone else suggested and substituted evaporated milk for 2% because I didn't want to waste it and I didn't know when I would use the rest of the pet milk. But, this was wonderful and I will most certainly use this chocolate icing recipe from now on! Thanks for sharing!!!!!!

Made exactly as instructed and it was fabulous! I had to make a large amount because my cake was so big. The sifting was a little bit time consuming but it was worth it. Fabulous!
