I LOVED this dish! However, the two teenagers didn't care for it, and my husband thought it was just "okay" (that's why I gave it 4 stars-I averaged all of our ratings!). To me, this is the ultimate in comfort food, just like other users have said. I didn't change anything, other than halving the recipe. Looks like I'll get to enjoy the leftovers! This will make a great pot-luck dish!

This dish was pretty good, but let me start off saying that I did not have a cream of chicken so I used 2 cream of mushrooms and I added a can of mushrooms, and it pretty much tasted like a baked stroganoff with corn. Which is not a bad thing, we love stroganoff in our house, but next time I will definately try it with the cream of chicken.

I thought this was ok. Kind of bland tasting so before it went into the casserole dish I added a few dashes of both hot sauce and chili powder. Instead of the bread crumbs I used french's french fried onions. It's a good way of using up ingredients I usually have on hand.

This was a good recipe...my husband and I enjoyed it; the kids said it was ok. The changes I made were; I only used 1 lb/burger, rotini noodles instead of egg noodles, and green beans (instead of the corn). I also seasoned my burger while I cooked it & added some parmesan cheese to the top before baking. I would serve this again.

This isn't gourmet but it's tasty. I omitted the pimentos and served the corn on the side. I added canned sliced mushrooms and garlic powder to taste. I also had no egg noodles on hand so I used penne. Still came out good! I have a family to feed of diverse tastes and this one's a keeper. Cheap, easy and tasty.

We always had variation of this growing up! Now my kids love it too. No pimentos or peppers when we make it and we always top it with crushed Ruffles potato chips. Mmmm....

WOW!! This was a huge hit at my home! I made this last night and my 19 year old brother - who stays with my husband and me on Tuesday nights loved it. My husband said "Add this to our favorite recipes!!" There were a few slight changes to my version. I did not add the corn or the pimientos. (I served the corn as a side instead) When I got an onion out of my pantry, it had sprouted and was no good for eating...so, as I browned my meat, I added some onion and garlic powder. Once I transfered everything to the 9 X 13 dish I sprinkled on a little more garlic and onion. I also took my garlic press and crushed a beef bullion cube into the mixture for some added flavor. I did the bread crumbs and added some crackers for the topping - the next time I believe I will just use the crackers. The men, who love everything spicy, added some Texas Pete in their servings. (I'm thinking I could make the most awful thing in the world, the guys would put Texas Pete on it, and say that it was the best thing they ever tasted!) This is a keeper for us!

Pretty good. Simple and the kids liked it. I used breadcrumbs- that didn't taste so hot. If I make it again it will be right in the skillet and right to the plate.

Oh, yeah! If your kids like casseroles, but not tomato sauce, this is for you! I used only one pound of beef and thought it was plenty beefy. I substituted a can of green chiles for the pimentoes. By the way, the grown-ups will love it too!

For seasoning, I added a pkg. of Good Seasons Italian Salad Dressing Mix. Skipped the pimientos. Added a little milk to thin it a bit, and broiled it for a couple minutes when it was done baking to brown the topping. Extremely tasty!

I really liked this recipe. It seems to me that this is a very versatile recipe that can be adapted to use what you have on hand for an easy weeknight meal. I used 98% fat free "cream-of" soups and reduced fat sour cream and it turned out beautifully. I added some fresh mushrooms, as well. I forgot to get corn, but I threw in some frozen spinach (thawed) and the dish turned out great! I took another user's suggestion and topped it with cheddar cheese. Great flavor, easy to make, and now I have leftovers for a couple of days. I will certainly make this again!

I actually topped this casserole with cheese instead of crackers. It really tasted great. The corn mixed gave it the sweet touch it needed.

This is the ultimate in confort food! Very filling and very creamy. Most recipes on here I try once and never make again, this i'll be using over and over, especially on a cold, rainy day. The only things I did differently: I seasoned to suit my family's tastes, and used a sleeve of Ritz crackers, cruhsed, instead of breadcrumbs. Thanks for the yummy recipe!

I am actually making this for dinner tonight for the first time. I just made a few changes...to the ground beef and onion I added garlic powder, salt, pepper and some worcesterhire sauce and browned meat until no longer pink. Instead of corn I used Steam Fresh mixed veggies to add some color also added a bit more garlic in the mixture along w/ some more pepper plus French's onions on top instead of bread crumb. I taste as I go so far so good...just need to throw it in the oven.

I tried this recipe because I had most of the ingredients on hand. I skipped the corn and added lots of chopped onions, and chopped green and red peppers. Also I added a jar of sliced mushrooms and plenty of garlic powder and onion powder. I loved it, and my husband loved it. This recipe tastes like a creamy ground beef stroganoff. Simple and delicious.

It was alright, but very bland. I had to add more spices like taco seasoning and chipotle powder...Realistically it was more like a hamburger helper but not so processed. I liked the veg in it, but still not my favorite.
