This bread is sooo good! I have made it quite a few times with awesome results each time. A heavy, good, filling, deliciously rich bread. I double the pecan/sugar/cinnamon mix and use it in the middle of the bread and on top. I also use 3-4 bananas. It travels well, we slice it and take it to Disneyland in our snack bag. Never lasts more than a day or 2 in my house. A family favorite!

Excellent! Very very good. I didn't have any pecans, so I followed some others advice and added a handful of chocolate chips with the brown sugar and cinnamon- it was great! Next time I'll make sure that I have pecans and I'll still add the chocolate chips. Thanks for the great recipe!

Like usual I had to change something so I took the recommendation of one reviewer and added the extra banana, substituted pecans with walnuts (had then on hand) made about double the mix and added half directly to the mix and sprinkled the rest on top, also drizzled some honey over the top just because I had some near where I was making the bread! Came out very good.

I thought this recipe was a great improvement to regular banana bread! I made it recently for a friend and received rave reviews even from her children! My family also enjoyed it. I will definately make this again!

I was surprised at how light & fluffy this bread was. I considered it more cake-like than bread. The banana taste was not overpowering either. I also doubled the pecan mix.

Absolutely wonderful. I did take it out after fifty minutes even though my knife didn't come out clean when I inserted it. I just left it wrapped tightly in a dishtowel and it finished cooking perfectly in the middle without getting overdone on the sides.

WOW!EXCELLENT RECIPE.I MADE CHANGES AS I ALWAYS DO. I HALVED THE RECIPE USING 1/2 C BUTTER, 6OZ OF CREAM CHEESE, BROWN SUGAR AND 3 BANANAS. I STIRRED IN CHOCOLATE CHIPS AND CHOPPED PECANS AFTER BEATING IN THE FLOUR MIXTURE. I JUST PULLED IT OUT OF THE OVEN AND IT IS HEAVENLY! MY KIDS CAN'T GET ENOUGH AND NEITHER CAN I! NEXT TIME I'LL USE SMARTBALANCE AND LET Y'ALL KNOW HOW THAT TURNS OUT. GOD BLESS!

I absolutely loved it. I didn't actually bake it myself - a friend brought it in to work and well, let's just say it didn't take long 'til it was gone. It's so moist and every bite yells yummy banana - the fact that there's cream cheese and a wonderful struesel mixture in the middle is BONUS!!! I have already printed out the recipe and am ready to bake up some loaves.....

I've made so many different banana breads over the years, but this recipe has replaced all the others. Made according to the recipe (doubling the topping) this is the perfect banana bread. I've had so many requests for this bread! It never lasts more than a day (and I make two batches). Thanks so much for a wonderful banana bread recipe!

This was just ok for me, nothing spectacular. I used more bananas than called for. Was hoping for more of a "wow" factor.

I used 1/3 cup of applesauce instead of margarine, used an 8 ounce package of fat free cream cheese, mashed 3 bananas, used 1/2 cup of applesauce with 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda mixed in instead of 2 eggs. I also omitted the pecan mixture, and instead chopped up 1/2 cup of walnuts, and threw them in the banana bread mixture.

This recipe was FANTASTIC. I only made a few slight modifications: butter instead of margerine, about 1.5 cups of smashed banana, and no pecans. I also doubled the amount of cinnamon and sugar--I put it between two layers of batter as suggested, then used a butter knife to swirl it around. Also, the recipe made only 1 large loaf for me--but maybe I have big loaf pans.
