exellent...i also took the advice from one of the earlier reviews and made the homemade frosting as well as just cut caps off the top instead of stuffing the filling through the bottom of the cupcake...nummmmmy!!!!!

Loved this recipe. Had been looking for a filled cupcake recipe for a long time and now I have a winner! The cupcake turned out perfect. Used the frosting suggested by OCEAN011 and decorated with leftover filling. UPDATE: Have made these several times since I first reviewed them and experimented with different fillings, just made the filling by adding a Tbsp or 2 of cheesecake pudding mix (dry) to the original recipe and whipping it...OMG...that is good...really thinned it out so had to add more powdered sugar. Also I have been just piping the filling into the top of the cupcake with a piping bag and small tip...that way you can leave the liner on and the hole at the top is covered with frosting.

I have made filled cupcakes from a box mix for years (filling from the top, though). These from scratch cupcakes were just as good... Thanks!

These were very delicious, they turned moist and tasted MUCH better than any cake box cupcake! I made the frosting just like the filling but added cocoa powder to it until I thought it was chocolatey enough.

This was quite yummy...the cake could have been a little better. It just seemed to be missing something, but I can't put my finger on it. The filling was delish...and I took the suggestion of filling from the top. Worked great and then I just topped with store bought frosting. Next time I'll make my own, but it was fine in a pinch. They disappeared fast!

I made these for a party and they were a great hit. They are very moist. I was told they were better than Hostess. Much easier to fill from the top.

I thought these were really good, the cake part was great. The filling is a basic buttercream frosting. I doubled the recipe and used it to fill and frost. I'd make again but I think I'd use a diff. frosting just for contrast.

These were moist & fantastic! I followed the recipe exactly and used the "Chocolate Frosting I" from here to frost them. I actually thought they were even better the next day! Thanks for the recipe!

Very good! I scaled it down to just 6 cupcakes so I could cook a small batch in my toaster oven. I think you could also use marshmellow fluff as the cream filling and it would be very good!

These were awesome! I cut the recipe in half cause I did not want too many cupcakes and it worked out perfectly. The cakes baked up nicely, remained very soft and moist the day after as well and the filling is so delicious! I followed other reviewers advice and piped the filling from the top and then I frosted some with Vanilla - Chocolate Powdered Sugar Frosting (found on this site) and left some plain. The ones with the frosting seemed to be much more preferred and I will definitely make these again! Thanks for the wonderful recipe!

These was a real hit at my husband's office, where I took them for his birthday celebration. I piped it from the top, as suggested by other reviewers, and frosted with a simple cocoa, powdered sugar, butter & milk frosting. The cake was good by itself, but the cream filling is what makes it exceptional. This is a BIG winner in my book!

I just got done making these cupcakes and they are perfect! The actual cupcake is moist and delicious and the cream filling is great too! I filled my cupcakes from the top and just frosted over the hole with some chocolate frosting. They take a little longer than regular cupcakes but they are worth it!

These were good, but not great. I didn't think the cake part was the best. I may just try a box mix next time and use the cream filling in that.

This filling was great. I wasn't sure how long to beat it for until it got light and fluffy enough, but 3-4 minutes seemed to be enough. I did use another cake recipe from this site (boxed chocolate cake mix with pudding mix, etc.) I thought at first the filling would be too sweet, but mixed into the cupcakes, it was perfect. I also filled from the top - I liked the little dot of filling that showed up on top of the cupcake so you know it was filled with something. Thanks for the recipe!

The cupcake itself tastes great. For some reason my filling melted into the cupcake so when you bit into it, it's just gooey. Some of my friends found that weird.
