Excellent recipe!! Don't skip the almond extract if you have it, that's the best part! I made these with "Sugar Cookie Glaze" from this website and they turned out fantastic.

i followed the recipe exactly, except for 1 tsp vanilla and no almond extract (i was out). they turned out yummy. i don't even like sugar cookies, but these i love. they are sweet and vanilla-y with a hint of cream cheese. they also rolled out very well. i used cutters for the first roll out and then balled the scraps and pressed a pecan half into the middle. YUM! i wouldn't change a thing, just make sure you chill the dough, that's essential.

These were pretty good. To me, they need icing, but my husband liked them without it. I did not roll these because I was short on space. Instead, I made balls and pressed with a colored sugar dipped glass. Not very pretty, but tasty.

Better than usual sugar cookies! I used the recipe to make wedding favors. They didn't come out perfectly round, so I used a biscuit cutter to make them perfect. Then Iced them with the Sugar Cookie Icing from Janice Brubaker. Everyone loved them!

This is a great recipe! I added some more cream cheese (about 4 1/2 oz) for more flavor and it turned out great! The dough was sticky to work with but when chilled enough, the finished products were too good to be true!

These cookies were good and easy to make. I was a little nervous when I made the dough since it was so sticky, but after refrigerating overnight, it was workable. I made a couple changes to the recipe, I used 8oz of creamcheese, since I didnt want any left over and I used 2 1/2 cups of flour. As another reviewer suggested I rollded the dough into balls and then pressed down with the bottom of a glass. I sprinkled the cookies with colored sugar before baking, I only baked for 8 minutes.

These cookies are the best and a great alternative to more traditional sugar cookies. I dipped the bottom of a glass in water then sugar to flatten them. The tiny bit of sugar on the top makes a great cookie even better. I also added this batter to pumpkin ice cream... yum!

By FAR the BEST Sugar cookies I have ever made. These have the most spectacular flavor and are so soft and yummy! I made them into Pink Ribbons for a Breast Cancer 3 Day Fundraiser...and they are beautiful!

MMMMMM!!! I've made these cookies a few times, and they always turn out well. The first time, I made them for my roommate, and her and her brother ended up fighting over them. The last time I made them, they were for a bake sale; one person came by and bought a couple, then came back and bought all 80 cookies. These never disappoint! I always melt the butter completely to make the cookies soft and chewy, and I choose to omit the almond extract as I find it adds an odd smell. Now I feel like eating some, so I'll make another batch today! :)

These are by far the best sugar cookies I have ever tried. The cream cheese really adds something special! To me, they taste like cupcakes with the consistency of shortbread. SO delicious, and easy to make. I always frost each cookie with a generous dollop of sugar cookie frosting, and decorate with sprinkles! Yummy and fun. My boyfriend, roommate, friends and parents all LOVED these!

These cookies were very easy to roll out and looked beautiful, but they just tasted ok. The cream cheese really stood out quite a bit and you couldn't really taste anything else. But it was nice working with the dough.

These cookies were just ok because they weren't very tasty. I highly recommend frosting with cream cheese frosting. I will not be making these again.

This was a great recipe for the taste. The cookies were crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. My husband and daughter loved them. The only complaint I have is that they were almost impossible to make into shapes with our cookie cutters because the dough kept sticking to everything and we had even chilled the dough overnight. I probably should have added extra flour as the previous reviews recommended.
