I made these cookies today and must say I will NEVER eat another pre mixed cookie again! These were so good and haven't frosted them yet!(waiting for kids) I did use 8 oz if cream cheese and 3 1/4C of flour. Also, used 1 tsp of Almond and Vanilla extract. Will make again.

Good and easy recipe but extremely sticky dough... even after leaving the dough in the refrigerator overnight. But, we decided to put the dough in a cookie press and they turned out fantastic!

These were really good. I upped the cream cheese to 8oz, and added some additional flour as some other reviewers recommended. Chilled dough for about an hour before rolling it out, and had no problem with it at all. The taste was great, definitely not too sweet, but that may be from upping the cream cheese and flour.

not sure what I did wrong. They baked out flat and kind of greasy. Not what I was looking for in a sugar cookie. I followed the recipe exactly. :(

I made these and they were the best sugar cookies I have tasted. Definitely, not the regular run of the mill sugar cookies.

These cookies are good. Very rich, I did not decorate them. I feel they are sweet enought without the extra sugar from the icing. My 3 year old loved them.

I read the reviews and thought the people who rated it low maybe didn't know what they were talking about. turns out, they did. This recipe is not a favorite by any means. The dough is terrible to work with, even chilling over night, the qty. was way, way off, and the flavor is not great either. I was so excited to try these with the cream cheese, not very good. Save yourself the headache and try a different recipe.

These were REALLY good. The only change I made was using 8oz of cream cheese and increasing the flour a bit. I used the Butter Icing for Sugar Cookies on this site to ice them. The cookies were soft and flavorful unlike some sugar cookie recipes that are dry and floury.

These are wonderful sugar cookies. I really don't like sugar cookies and I found these quit tasty! They are not overly sweet like many sugar cookies and the cream cheese gives them much more depth and flavor than the traditional sugar cookie. These also have a great texture; they are crispy on the bottom yet chewy. The other thing that makes these cookies great is you can use a sweet frosting without the cookie becoming overly sweet. These cookies are versatile too; you can add food coloring for color and they would still look great. Next time I will try adding a drop of extract- maybe orange or peppermint.

BTW, I have been making this cookie for many years. It's awesome and THE best sugar/cut-out cookie there is! The taste is magnificent and can't compare to others of this sort!

This cookie is also called White Velvet Cookie. My mother made it since I was in grade school. All my teachers asked for the recipe when I brought the cookies for them.

Turned out pretty goo, although next time I may try some of the alterations that other people suggested. I expected them to be significantly better than traditional sugar cookies, but they were pretty similar.

SO GOOD!! I followed the original recipe and didn't have any problem at all. But next time I am going to increase the cream cheese to 8oz instead of 3 oz to just see the difference of the taste and then I will repost my review.

I was looking for a recipe for my Cookie Press for Christmas, and these turned out just perfect! I DID NOT refrigerate the dough at all, and it was the perfect consistency to be pushed through the press. I added some green food coloring and made some trees and wreaths. I will be saving this one!

I tried this recipe after "The Best Rolled Sugar cookies" were not as tasty and soft as the reviews stated. These turned out great. They are soft, rolled fine after 3 hrs. chilled with a dusting of flour or powdered sugar, easy to cut, and did not lose their shape when baked. I did use the 8oz of cream cheese, 3 1/4 cups flour, 1 1/2 cup sugar, 1 tsp. baking powder as suggested by another. I used 1/2 cup of margarine and 1/2 cup of butter to equal the full cup needed. Will make again!

Excellent recipe!! Don't skip the almond extract if you have it, that's the best part! I made these with "Sugar Cookie Glaze" from this website and they turned out fantastic.

i followed the recipe exactly, except for 1 tsp vanilla and no almond extract (i was out). they turned out yummy. i don't even like sugar cookies, but these i love. they are sweet and vanilla-y with a hint of cream cheese. they also rolled out very well. i used cutters for the first roll out and then balled the scraps and pressed a pecan half into the middle. YUM! i wouldn't change a thing, just make sure you chill the dough, that's essential.
