These cream cheese squares tasted really good and were so easy to make them. I halved the recipe, used a blend of splenda baking and only used 2 Tbsp of butter. I definitely will try again adding some preserves.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this recipe!!! It is amazing - every time! I have made it probably 10 times over the last year. I don't measure out the cinnamon sugar though - I put lots and lots! :)

The comment on the recipe describes this perfectly. I will make sure to stock up on crescent rolls and cream cheese when they are on sale because this is an easy recipe to make when you have last minute guests etc... I did find that you don't need as much cream cheese as the recipe indicated but otherwise great recipe!

I used all reduced fat ingredients and omitted the margarine and sprinkled cinnamon sugar on after they came out of the oven.

Amazing recipe. Simple, fast, requires few ingredients and absolutely delicious!Using the suggestions of others I did add about a tsp of freshly minced lemon zest to the creamed cheese. Otherwise I made it exactly as written. Recipe can easily be halved and fits well in a 9inch square pyrex baking dish.

This recipe is AWESOME! Not only did it turn out great, but it was so good it inspired a marriage proposal from a co-worker! I didn't change a thing - it's perfect the way it is. The full stick of butter seems like much and looks like a lot when you pour it on, but I've tried reducing it as well and it's better left as written. If you want to change it up a little, add some apple pie filling on top of the cheesecake mixture before putting the final layer of crescent rolls. It's also fabulous (and the version that earned the proposal)

I made this the other night and it disappeared. I followed others advice and the only changes I made were to use Splenda in place of sugar, and I added Blueberry Simply fruit spread on top of the cream cheese mixture. My son thought it was the best recipe ever. The possibilities with this recipe are endless. I can't wait to try other toppings. Thanks for a great recipe.

This was a delicious and quick dessert! However, I would highly recommend the following revisions. For one, I spread a whole can of apple pie filling over the cream cheese layer and then draped the remaining crescent rolls on the top. For the topping, I did not use any butter. I didn't want it to be soggy. But I did combine about 1/2 cup brown sugar with a tsp. of cinnamon and sprinkled that on top. The flavor of the brown sugar and cinnamon went great with the apples. I baked it for about 30 minutes.

I used this recipe and it was "okay" it lacked creativity and ...just it lacked something. Overall though it was pretty good for such a quick and easy recipe. I took some advice of others and put some sugar free strawberry preserves on one half, and that half was the big hit.lol..

Delicious! I 1/2 the recipe and made in 8x8 pan. I also placed frozen raspberries over the cream cheese layer and did not use the butter mixture on top. This was plenty sweet for us and quick and easy. Be sure to cook long enough because it can be kind of soggy and doughy if you don't. I will be making this recipe again. Thanks.

This is a great fast pastry. It reminds me of a cheese danish. I would recommend using half as much melted butter, and maybe brushing it on instead of pouring it. It made spots that were super buttery, and those spots did not cook evenly. Otherwise it was great!

My husband loved these and could not stop eating them, but I found them a little soggy, and my kids kinda picked around them. Maybe, dare I say, too much cream cheese? 1 pkg would probably be better. I tried 1/2 of the dish with rasberry preserves spread over the cream cheese layer and 1/2 with brown sugar & cinnamon mixed w/the cream cheese. I think I liked the brown sugar side best. I don't think I would serve these to a crowd but I might try them again at home. (p.s. look for the Recipe Creations crescent sheet by Pilsbury! No piecing the triangles together! yay!)

Very very good for very little effort. I loved these! I almost ate the whole pan! I contemplated what some other reviewers recommended to put some preserves in it, but did not this first time out. Delish!

I added a layer of Guava paste above the cream cheese, and my husband declared these were his favorite dessert of all time! I didn't think 1 cup of sugar was necessary, 1/2 c tasted sweet enough. Also, i skipped the excess butter and just sprinkled sugar/cinnamon on top! DELISH!!

This is super easy and wonderful. I made it and brought it to work and it was a true hit! I brushed my butter on top. I was afraid if I used the 1/2 c it called for it would get soggy...Everyone was asking me for the recipe!

I am not much of a baker. These sounded fairly simple so I tried them last night. The hardest part was that one of my rolls of crescent rolls was difficult to open, and I had to piece the squares together. My husband and I each had one for breakfast this morning. YUM! I did exactly as the directions stated, and they are wonderful! I may try adding some fruit preserves or pie filling next time, but we loved them as they were!
