FIVE STARS ***** and this recipe deserves every star!!! This requires no cooking knowledge, easy to find ingredients, can be made completely by hand (I did; no mixer on hand.) and gives room for variations in flavor. Now, I halved the recipe because one person (me) does NOT need to eat 24 servings of this glorious dessert. The only thing I would change next time is also add cinnamon to the bottom crust before applying the cream cheese mixture. No need to use so much butter (I probably used half of the halved amount). I cooked this for about fifteen minutes and then turned off the oven and let it sit for another five minutes. Then removed from the oven. I couldn't resist waiting and tasted and nearly fell in love. I was worried the spread would be too thick and the crust to thin and become soggy. Please don't have these concerns. Simply follow the directions, cook, wait, and devour. Thank You Ann for a lovely recipe!!! Next time I hope to find better quality vanilla flavoring and crescent roll dough.

These are fantabulous! Everyone in the office is raving about them this morning. They are a little sweet for my taste, so I'd love to try them with half the sugar, but no denying they are delicious. I added lemon zest and squeezed a little lemon juice into the cream cheese mixture and added an egg as well. Made a 2nd batch with raspberry jam spread over the filling. Wonderful. Also, I just brushed the top layer of dough with butter rather than pour a bunch of melted butter over the top. Thanks for a great recipe!

I literally said "Oh My God" when I tasted these. They really are phenomenal! I made the recipe exact, except added lemon zest after reading some reviews, because I love it in cheesecakes. Next time I think I'll add some cherry filling. But without adding anything they are awesome!!

Wow! These were so amazing ...and easy. I made the recipe exactly as written and I wouldn't change a thing. The buttery, cinnamon sugar crust was probably the best thing I've ever tasted. I will be making these squares often.

Made this today following the recipe here (without alteration). Turned out fantastic. Bought some apple pie filling to put on top but didn't use it. It was delicious as is. Tastes like cheesecake with an Elephant Ear crust on top. Will make again without any doubt. Good stuff!

When I started making this recipe I didn't realize my crescent roll dough was expired. All I had to use as a substitute was cinnamon roll dough. I left out the cinnamon the recipe calls for and topped it off with the frosting from the cinnamon rolls. They were fabulous!

I found this recipe when i was searching for a sweet cream cheese to put on beligan waffles. I decided to try to recipe as well as use it on my beligan waffles (w/ strawberries all over it!) and its delicious for both! Any time i've made this I add any fruit spread or jelly I have in the fridge to make it even tastier. I spoon on 3 lines of the jelly before putting on the second layer of cresent rolls. Always a hit at family brunches!

I halved the recipe excluding the crescent rolls to have less sugar and fats. A tad overcooked but still very good. Next time I'll cook for 20 minutes with my modifications.

This is great! I also used Splenda instead of sugar and it was amazing. I did use real sugar for the top and I used real butter instead of margarine. Great quick recipe!

Yum! I topped the cream cheese mixture with fresh strawberries, then sprinkled a teaspoon of sugar over the crescent crust. I was mostly surprised that my hubby, who normally doesn't like deserts, LOVED these bars!

I read the reviews before making these and decided to add an egg to the cream cheese and sugar mixture. I also used real butter instead of margerine and only used half of what the recipe called for. I chose to use the "big and flakey" crescent rolls instead of regular ones but I think I'll use the regular rolls next time to see if it cuts down on the extra doughy edges. I will definitely be making this again and probably add fruit to it! Thanks for the recipe!!

What a great, basic recipe! I have made several variations of this and it always goes over well. Most recently, I added cold cuts on top of plain cream cheese and was able to please my two year old!

Heavenly! My boyfriend dreams of these things. It's ridiculously easy to make and tastes so creamy and delicious. The only change I made was I used less butter than was called for.

These were yummy! I added rasberry preserves as some people had suggested. I thought it made them a little mushy and would make them exactly as written next time. This was so easy and quick and the results were fantastic!
