As far as taste is concerned...these are EXCELLENT!! However, I had a few problems. They were super messy first of all, I had to really scrub my griddle to get it clean. Also, I had a hard time cooking the beef thoroughly without squeezing the cream cheese mixture out as my patties did not hold together well. If I make these again I am going to try a different preparation method. I think I will cook the patties individually and when done sandwich the cream cheese mixture between patties and cook just long enough to warm cream cheese. The end result would look and taste the same as what I ended up with following recipes instructions, (probably better because more cream cheese would make it to your plate), plus it would make clean up and prep alot easier. Also, I only used the jalapeno's on my burger. For my husband and daughters burgers I used real bacon bits with the cream cheese and they loved it. This is a recipe that can really be customized to your own liking. Definitely going to play around with different prep methods on this one.
UPDATE: Okay, I tried this the easy way. Made a burger and spread the cream cheese mixture on the bun....MUCH easier and not so messy. Plus, this does NOT affect the taste. In my opinion it is better this way.
