This is certainly the classic cream cheese frosting. Yum! I only use two cups of sugar as per my southern living recipe and it turns out perfectly every time!

This is devine! I have used it on chocolate cakes, banana nut bread, and for frosting sugar cookies. This recipe yields a generous amount, so I have 1/2 it to use for smaller needs and turns out perfectly.

Very yummy! I did only use 3 cups of the sugar, but it was still sweet enough for us!

Tastes great! My 5 year old was eating it straight out of the bowl and she does not like cream cheese. I did mess up a little though. I forgot to set out my butter to soften and then got impatient and tried to soften it in the microwave. I ended up melting it so it was not a fluffy as I think it should have been. I also started out with only 2 cups powdered sugar and added until I liked the consistancy and taste (ended up with about 3 cups). I think I could have managed with only 2 if I had not melted the butter. I will be more patient next time. Will definately use this recipe again.

This was ok but I was expecting a creamy cheesier taste. I was looking for a frosting for my cinnamon rolls. This is good but I think maybe Ill add more cream cheese next time.

I think 4 cups of sugar is too much for this recipe. The frosting ended up tasting sugary rather then creamy like I wanted. I think it would be really great with the sugar cut to 2 or 3 cups. I'll probably try it again that way.

This tasted amazing! I had to add a little bit more confectioners sugar and it was almost a little too creamy and not fluffy enough. The taste was awesome though!

Great frosing, I altered the ingredients a little bit: I used rduced fat cream cheese and 2 1/2c of Splenda Sugar for baking and 1c of regular granulated sugar. The results where great.

After I had the carrot cake in the oven and part of this frosting recipe already being made, I realized I didn't have anywhere near 4 cups of confec sugar on hand. YIKES!! But I went ahead and made it anyway with my measly 1 1/2 cups. Surprisingly it still came out just fine. Thin for my taste but cooling it in the fridge helped a lot. Thanks for sharing such a simple yet tasty recipe! This will go good on anything, if you ask me.
