This is good and simple. I like the fact that this recipe could be made so quickly, and had 10 times the cream cheese flavor that you find in those pre-made canisters.

This was just ok. I, like others, didn't have to use the whole 4 cups of sugar cuz it came out sweet enough after 2. Not a bad recipe, but also not one I would make again. I'm definitely gunna look for a better one.

I made this to top "Momma's Wine Cake" by Esther Nelson and added chopped walnuts sprinkled on top. What a beautiful tasting and looking masterpiece. I too thought 4 cps was way too much suger, so I started with 1 1/2 cps and continued to taste, which was 2 cps for us. Thanks again!!!

This is the best cream cheese frosting. The only thing that I did different was use 2 1/2 cups of confectioners sugar instead of 4 cups. The consistency was nice and thick. I put the frosting on a pumpkin bar recipe. YUM!!!

This is a good basic cream cheese frosting. I read other reviews and saw that people found that it was too sweet. Instead of adding 2 tsp vanilla, I added 1 1/2 tsp vanilla and 1/2 tsp lemon juice. It turned out perfectly.

My darling husband raved about this frosting! I did, however, only use 3 cups of confectioner's sugar because we thought it was sweet enough. Thanks!

I used this frosting on my mom's b-day cake. I made a red velvet cake. This frosting was great with it. There was enough to frost a 2 layer 9"inch round cake. I didnt decorate with this frosting, but it was a great consistency for it, maybe next time!

I made this recipe using Neufchatel (low fat cream cheese) instead of regular cream cheese, and it came our deliciously. I did make a couple of modifications in order to make it slightly more healthy...I used about 1/3 less butter and half the sugar...it was plenty sweet after the first half. Delicious though!

i just made this recipe and it tastes great....the only modification i made was to add about half of a cup of pumpkin (canned, unsweetened) another 8 ozs of cream cheese and enough powdered sugar to make it the desired thickness...the next time i might add a few nuts...i used it to frost pumkin muffins i made for my son's boyscout pack meeting....

The taste is delicious. I had made a different recipe before that called for 2 - 8 oz containers of cream cheese and it was too tart. I made this for a pumpkin cake from this site. I knew the cake was going to be really sweet so I cut the sugar for the frosting down to 3 cups. I have a very big sweet tooth but I think 4 cups of sugar would have been too much. The frosting was very sweet with the 3 cups. I will use this recipe again.
