didn't use any vanilla and only about 3 cups of powdered sugar. It turned out really good. mix it for a long time to get a creamier consistency.

I put this frosting on banana bars. Besides tasting great, I loved the amount of frosting this recipe yielded. I had more than plenty to spread on a 10x15 jellyroll pan. It my new favorite cream cheese frosting recipe!

Excellent. Made exactly as written and it was the perfect consistency for frosting, and tasted rich and creamy. Sweet enough, too, but you could still get the tang of the cream cheese. Put on a triple chocolate cake -- yum. Next time, I'll put raspberry between the layers to complement the cream cheese and chocolate tastes.

I made it chocolate cream cheese by just adding some cocoa powder while mixing. I used this whole recipe to frost a 9x13 of Deep Dish Brownies from this site. At first, I wasn't sure if it would be good -- tasted a little sour, but the next day the brownies were fantastic! I wish I still had some!

This is fantastic! Used on Chocolate Bananna (cup)Cakes on this site - my 9 year old daughter was content to simply lick the icing out of the bowl! Cut back just a little on the sugar - tastes so much better than storebought and was so simple - thanks!!

This frosting was good! Very creamy. Big hit w/family. A little on the soft side, IMO. May try refrigerating it for a bit before frosting. I did have butter and cc at room temperature and it turned out so smooth and whipped up fast. I used all the sugar, b/c I don't like the cheesecake taste and although it was good, I may add a little more next time or look for a more sugary thick cc frosting. Worked well on a 2 layer 9 inch cake. Used all the icing.

This was a great recipe - I was using it for spice cake, so I added a 1T allspice to give it a kick. It was a hit all the way around :)

This is a frosting recipe that I use quite often when making a three layered cake. You need to use all of the confectioners sugar for the right spreading consistency. If you are frosting a sheet cake, left in a 9" X 13" pan, you may want to cut down the recipe some. I highly recommend this recipe. It is very good.

Rave reviews on this one. Used it to top a from-the-box lemon cake. Only used 2 cups of sugar and would probably lighten the vanilla a bit as it was a little too strong tasting.

OMG!! This was so yummy! I was making a yellow cake and realized I didn't have any frosting in my pantry. I've never made frosting from scratch, but I had everything I needed so I figured I'd try it out. I will never buy store bought frosting again! Oh yeah, I made it with just 2 cups sugar and after tasting it was afraid to mess it up by adding anything else. This was by far the best tasting frosting I've ever had!
