This is one of the best cream cheese frostings I have tasted. The characteristics I like the most are the fluffiness and the fact that it is not sickeningly sweet. I did add an additional teaspoon of vanilla, but other than that I prepared the recipe as written. This is perfect for the person who does not like super sweet frosting and loves cream cheese. The frosting is subtle enough to let the cake be the star but delicious enough to stand alone. Why mess with perfection? I will use this whenever I need a cream cheese frosting!

Wow, this was so easy that I was skeptical. It's absolutely delicious! I did add 1 additional cup of confectioners sugar and one additional tsp of vanilla. Used this on pumpkin bars and they were phenomenal. Much better than store-bought frosting. It was also fluffier than I expected!

I made a tiny portion of this, but kept the proportions the same, and it was AMAZING. Had to use granulated sugar, but it was still perfect. Delicious!

I whipped this for several minutes so it was nice and fluffy. I don't know if you get the same effect unless you use a KitchenAid or commercial mixer. It was almost just like Cinnabon's frosting, except I think they have a touch of salt and lemon in theirs. YUM!

This frosting was SOOOOO good. It was amazing. I halfed the recipe and used it for a two layer round carrot cake, and it was still too much. Next time maybe I would even make 1/4 of the recipe.

As everybody else is saying, this is a fantastic and really easy to make recipe. I personally think adding an extra cup of confectioner's sugar is a little much, but if that's what does it for you, then okay. I followed the recipe and got a wonderfully sweet and tangy frosting. A trick to help get the cream cheese and butter started, besides just having them both softened, is adding a dash of milk or cream - it makes it all a lot easier. I used this on top of a German-style Apple Cake, and topped it with homemade caramel. This frosting really helped make the cake. Thanks for posting!

I did add some extra sugar for sweetness and stiffness, but it was delish and perfect for the pumpkin bread I made! Thanks!

I am not a big cream cheese fan. But this frosting recipe is amazing. There isn't much of a cream cheese kick to it. I made this recipe and put it on top of some Devil's Food cupcakes and the taste was amazing. The only thing different I did was add a cup of whipped cream. I will be making them again today.

It's perfect on Martha Stewart's pumpkin cupcakes! It stiffens up in the fridge and it does need to be in the fridge or else it will go bad. I don't think it needs 2 cups of sugar, that would be wayyyy to sweet. It tastes like cheesecake!
