This frosting was outstanding! Definately a true cream chees frosting and exactly what I was looking for. I used it to frost a pumpkin pie cake for thanksgiving and everyone who had some loved it. This will be my go to recipe whenever I need cream cheese frosting.

This recipe is pretty good, and super easy to make. I agree that it is a True Cream Cheese Frosting, I did though add about 1/2 cup of confectioners sugar.

I followed another reviewer's advice and put in half as much cream cheese and butter, and more vanilla. It seemed very good with pumpkin bread, and looked good with cinnamon sprinkled on top.

I cut the recipe in half and it was plenty enough for a 13x9 inch cake. I also added a bit more vanilla extract and included cinnamon in the frosting. Lastly, I put chopped pecans on top.

i used it to frost sams famous carrot cake and it is awesome!! i made a few changes, i added 3 cups sugar and 2 tablespoons of buttermilk because the consisity was too thick. i also added 1/4 tsp of almond extract to it made it really yummy!!! there was about 1 cup or so left after frosting the cake and decorating (worked great in a pastry bag really easy to use!!) so there is plenty for every size cake, i made a 2 layer 9 inch round cake a+++++ frosting!!

Very good frosting, and mine turned out stiff like in the recipe photo after only being whipped for a short amount of time with a hand mixer. I halved the recipe, but I still used one teaspoon of vanilla, and put in 2 and 1/3 cups sugar. This is a good basic recipe, and went well with my red velvet cupcakes.

This is the best cream cheese frosting I have ever made! I made 1/2 the recipe to frost 18 pumpkin cupcakes and I had just a little extra, which was great on graham crackers as a before bed snack! I had to refrigerate it for a little while so it was stiff enough to spread nicely, but then it was perfect.

This frosting is perfection if you love cream cheese. If you like a super sweet, really stiff frosting, then this might not be your thing. I let my butter and cream cheese sit out on the counter all evening while I prepared other recipes. Of note, I used one regular cream cheese and one neufchatel - wonderful results. By the time I was ready to make frosting, everything was super soft and easy to mix. Took about 5 minutes in my stand mixer. I did increase my powdered sugar to about 2-1/2 or 3 cups, just until I got the consistency I wanted. The taste is out of this world. I believe anyone who enjoys cream cheese frosting will like this recipe - if you want a little different flavor, all you need to do is tweak it a bit - but the basic foundation is here. Great recipe!

Whoa what a cream cheese punch! This is not for the feint of heart for sure but if you love the flavor of cream cheese this is for you. I like a wide variety of cream cheese frosting, this one was pretty good although not one I would use for anyone but myself. My family and friends tend to like theirs a little more on the subtle side.

This was really good but it makes soo much! Enough for two cakes. I ended up throwing away some of it because it was so much more than I needed. So, that was a waste of money. Next time I will half the recipes.

I've read a few reviews on this about not being very sweet so I had the extra confectioners sugar on hand to add for sweetness. I have to say- I kept the recipe EXACT and this was amazing!! This is coming from someone who has a major sweet tooth!! I don't think it needed any more sugar!! This tastes amazing and everyone who ate it LOVED it!! It does taste like cheesecake :o) MMmmm!!
