So many ways to customize this recipe and it will still turn out wonderfully, so I gave it a 5 star rating. My own additions were white pepper, red cayenne pepper, tabasco, and grated sharp cheddar cheese. I also sauteed chopped onion and red bell pepper in bacon grease, and added that along with cubed ham to the mix. My only comment on the original recipe, is to steam or thaw the frozen corn before adding to the mix to allow for more even baking in the oven.

I was trying to find a corn casserole to serve along with our Christmas ham that did not have creamed corn in it (I'm not a big fan). This was great !! I took one reviewers advice and added a whole can of green chiles just to have a little more spice. Thank you for sharing -- we'll be making this quite often !!

Just like I remembered from when my sister made it years ago, I've been searching for the recipe. I double the above recipe and also I add half an onion and half a bell pepper, chopped, sauted in a hot skillet with EVOO to soften them, then mix them in before baking. Tastes great!

This is a great recipe!! Here in Texas, we add a few strips of crisped and drained bacon and chopped pickled jalapenos for more spice. This is what I call a "Man Pleaser" recipe. Everyone I know who has tasted it has LOVED it and always asks for the recipe.

I fixed this last night to serve with tacos and refried beans. My husband and I were impressed! I used SteamFresh frozen corn, 6 oz cream cheese, garlic powder, salt, peppers, and I added extra green chilis for more spice. Super easy. Spicy but sweet. Will be making again soon!

Add some jalepenos instead of green chiles for extra spice!
