Great recipe! I didn't use the vanilla chips or the frosting. The cream cheese filling was the best part!

This recipe offers a yummy change-up to good 'ole brownie mix brownies. I happen to like the brownies from a mix, but this offers that hard-to-beat combination of cream cheese and chocolate. I made the recipe just as printed. However, I opted to leave off the frosting and don't think they lacked anything because of it.

I used 8oz cream cheese. It did not bake in middle, even after adding about 15 more min. Need to try again, it tasted ok.

This was so easy to make !!! Hubby said they were "dangerously" good. Will make these brownies many times over.

I made these for Christmas dessert as a last minute because I messed up the original dessert. I had a 10 oz package of fudge brownie mix. I made it according to the cake like brownies. I used an 8 oz cream cheese and added a teaspoon of vanilla. The brownies came out nice and moist. I served with peppermint ice cream. My mom was skeptical but said she thought the flavor combination was good.

This was a great way to use a boxed brownie mix...and for something quick. Like a youth function, or sunday school treat. I did NOT frost them. Wow! Can't imagine the sugar overload if I had. They don't need it. They are pretty basic, though, in taste. You could definitely 'kick it up a notch' by adding espresso powder or..cinnamon (yum!) to the brownie batter. Thanks for a great recipe to grab in a jiffy!

I did not care for these at all. I have a recipe that uses crescent rolls and the cream cheese filling minus the flour and egg that is way better. Thanks but no thanks.

Delicious brownies! My only recommendation as to straying from the original recipe is to increase the amount of cream cheese and butter in the filling by about one tablespoon each. It's the best part!

I doubled this and it worked well for a larger group. It's easy, moist, and was a hit at a shower, with many asking for the recipe.

These are awesome and couldn't be easier to make. The first time I made them I had the brownie mix with the fudge chunks on hand..so used that instead of vanilla chips...took them to Christmas dinner and they were gobbled up. I don't frost them, either. I've used Grand Marnier for the orange flavoring...works great!

Very nice recipe. Didn't make it with frosting just thought it would be too much. Also used vanilla extract instead of orange. Also this recipe is very moist. Will surely bake this again.

We never frost our brownies..just a family thing. I did not use the chips, but did use the cream cheese mixture. Used vanilla not orange extract. very , very good recipe. Made with my Granddaughter this morning and it was very easy.
