This a recipe that my mom gave me years ago. I could not find my copy so I was happy to find it here. I made the dough last night but it didn't look right. This morning it had not risen at all. After another exhaustive search for my copy I found it this morning. The ingredients are the same but the directions are different. The first steps are to heat the sour cream in a saucepan over love heat. Stir in sugar, salt and butter. Cool until lukewarm. After this, you can continue with the directions shown here. It is so yummy. I used to make it for Christmas mornings and then I got out of the habit. I hope to start the tradition again this year.
