My husband and father in law raved about this cake! I did have to bake it longer than 35 minutes. I used 3/4 cup brown sugar instead of a full cup, substituted pecans for walnuts and used melted butter instead of oil in the cake. Yummy.

Lovely recipe, only difference is I had to bake an extra 10 mins on my oven. A+ all the way!

This is an extremely easy recipe - take it from me, a real cooking/baking beginner! I used a 20 oz. can of crushed pineapple, drained it into a container, and got about 1 cup of pineapple juice. I then added 1/4 cup water to make it according to the recipe. I also used about 3 cups of fresh cranberries, basically enough so that the whole bottom of the pan is covered with cranberries. This ensures that there's cranberries in every bite! I used a scoop or two less brown sugar than the recipe calls for. This came out GREAT! I always read people writing in their reviews, "Even my picky kids liked it...", "My husband doesn't even like ___, but ate it all...", etc. This cliche phrase became true for me! My boyfriend doesn't even like pineapple and was complaining about me making a pineapple cake, but ended up eating half the cake in two days! Excellent recipe! This is a keeper!! Not only is it extremely easy, but it tastes awesome! Thank you so much! :)

Very Yummy! I did have a little trouble with it not coming out of the pan well. I see others recommended a springform pan. I agree, either that or use parchment next time. Personally, I will use more cranberries next time also. A definite keeper.

I had to tweak this according to what I had on hand. I used spice cake mix and Craisins soaked in orange juice to plump them up a bit. Otherwise I made the recipe as is. My daughter just ate two pieces as she came in from school! She gives it two thumbs up as well. Very good--no boxed cake mix taste!

I served this for Christmas dinner as an alternative dessert to the traditional ones also being served. It was the fan favorite!! Even my finicky stepfather loved it and went back for seconds. I was nervous about adding whole raw cranberries but when baked the cranberries and pineapple set each other off perfectly. Great recipe and new tradition!

This recipe was very good. It was quite sweet for me but it didn't stop us from eating it! I'd cut back the sugar just a bit, double the cranberries and watch the pineapple. However, I prefer a more tart taste; if you want sweet, it's great as is.
