As others had done, I also incorporated a number of suggestions from others. Used 1/2 cup of white sugar and 1/2 cup of brown, used 1/2 cup of orange juice and slightly less than 1/2 cup of water and also added 1/2 tsp of cinnamon. It was so good with the meal, on the turkey sandwiches later and also in the morning mixed in with our oatmeal. It was so good, that I am making another batch, so we can continue to enjoy it with our oatmeal in the mornings.

I combined several of the helpful hints: 2 bags Cranberries, 2 cups OJ, 3/4 cup dark brown sugar (packed), 3/4 cup Natural Cane Sugar, 1/4 tsp Cinnamon. Heat/dissolve sugars/cinnamon in OJ, add Cranberries and cook until it starts to thicken (about 30 minutes). I made it the day before and it was GREAT! The hint of cinnamon was just enough to perk your senses but you couldn't really taste it. Cooking the cranberries should be anywhere from when they just start popping (about 10 minutes) to when they thicken depending on the desired consistency. I have never cared for whole cranberries and have always had jellied. This year no one ate the jellied cranberries! Pam F.

Followed advice of others and did half brown half white sugar, put a cinnamon stick in and some cloves and it still seems like it was missing that WOW factor for me. I made it the day before and put into the fridge and it was perfectly thick. People did like it this alot.

Super Easy !!! Strong orange flavor the first day, but it was PERFECT the following day. Will never buy canned Cranberry Sauce again.

Easy and so good. I threw in a bit of crushed pineapple and a tiny dash of cinnamon. I'll never used canned again.

I'm not a big cranberry sauce fan; however, this recipe converted me! It is excellent as is and my family enjoyed it, as well!

This was the simplest, most delicious recipe EVER! I will NOT be eating the congealed mess in a can ever again..Next time, I will try it with raw turbinado sugar. YUM!

I typically spend Thanksgiving at a family members house but this year, it was up to me to prepare the Thanksgiving meal and I wanted to do everything from scratch so I gave this recipe a shot and opted out of the canned sauce. It was a total hit and now - days later - I'm having to remake it so that the leftovers can linger. Love it, love it, love it.
