So easy and everybody thought I had slaved away to make cranberry sauce from scratch. Little did they know!

Have made this twice now. First time, made it according to recipe and had a ton of extra liquid even after refrigerating overnight. I had to pour out probably over a cup. The second time, used half white sugar, and half brown sugar like some suggested, cut oj down to 1/3 cup. The sugar draws out the juices when the cranberries are boiling anyway so you don't need to add much liquid. I also added chopped orange rind, and apple hunks. To add some extra tartness, use granny smith, but fuji works too

This was a huge hit! I am planning on making it at Christmas as well. I did do 1/2 cup water and 1/2 orange juice as stated by others. I also added 1 tsp. of cinnamon and a dash of vanilla, just a dash!! I also thought it was much better the next day so I am making it on Christmas Eve this time! I might try the 1/2 brown and 1/2 white although it was so good with just the white sugar. Might make a batch of both and see which tastes better!

Delicious! I've made it 2 more times since Thanksgiving. I added orange zest the last time. This sauce has many different uses- not only a side for turkey! I mix it with hot water to make a delicious (and healthy) hot drink. Thanks for the recipe. WIll NEVER buy the canned cranberry sauce EVER in my life.

I'll never buy can cranberry sauce again. I followed the recipe exactly and my only problem was that I used a smaller pot and it did boil over a little and I quickly transfered to a bigger pot.

Because of all the good ratings I made this for Thanksgiving with no alterations. It was too sweet and too tart at the same time. My 10 guests and I did not care for this recipe!

Easy classic recipe! Worth the effort. You know that unmistakable sound the canned stuff makes as it slithers out of can? No more! FYI...this is the same recipe as Cranberry Sauce.

With only a couple of hours until Thanksgiving dinner I realized I had forgotten something. The stores were out of cranberry sauce and so I scrambled to find an easy and foo, proof recipe. I found this one and it was a HUGE hit. Everyone loved it and raved and raved. They all said we are never eating canned sauce again! Thank you for the recipe.

Tried a twist on this recipe that went over GREAT at thanksgiving. Added 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes to get a slight tingle on the tongue without the heat. I've already made a second batch to can.

I thought this needed an extra 2T of sugar, then it was delicious. I quadrupled the recipe and we had plenty for a party of 50 people.

This was awsome and easy to recover the measurement mistakes I made. I thought that one and a half cups was 12 ounces as cranberrys but I needed more like three cups. So i started it, and it was too thin. This didnt cause any probs, just added more crans and a bit more sugar. Everyone really liked it Especailly me. Thanks, this is a new favorite and made me very HAPPY
