This reminds me of the Cranberry Sauce my Granny used to make. She added quite a lot of orange zest to hers.

I never tried making homemade cranberry sauce before because I thought it was a long and difficult process. Boy, was I wrong! It goes well with roast turkey, ham, and pork. I'll be making this from now on.

I really love this recipe. I never cared for cranberry sauce before this, of course it was out of a can. Wonderful!

So simple but delicious. My 5 year old "made" the craberry sauce with my help this year for Thanksgiving using this recipe. This is the best recipe, and so basic it would be easy to dress it up how ever you'd want. We added 1/4 tsp cinnamon as well. This sauce is also delicious cold used as a jelly on toast.

Simple and classic. I can not believe how easy this was. Why would anyone buy the canned stuff.

The recipe "as-is" makes a wonderful traditional cranberry sauce as I have made it this way before. But this year I decided to try something different and went with the suggestions of many reviewers. I used half a cup of orange juice and half a cup of water, half a cup of white sugar and half a cup of brown sugar and two dashes of cinnamon. Excellent! The craberry sauce was a huge hit and was gone in no time! I would suggest at least trying this recipe first as is, but if you are looking for something a little different after trying the recipe, definitely make the suggested changes or any of your own to put a twist on it.

It is a solid recipe if you like your cranberry sauce on the tart side. I usually only add ¾ cup sugar (1 cup can be overwhelming if you don’t like your sauces too sweet). Also, I juice a fresh orange for the 1 cup juice and use the orange zest as well.

Tastes great especially the next day. Making it a day or 2 ahead gives the flavors time to mesh. Love it!

This was a great compliment to our Thanksgiving dinner. It also went well on the turkey wraps. Thanks for the recipe.

This is the best! My daughter made this for Thanksgiving 3 years ago. It became a "must have" every year. She added walnuts which made it fantastic. This year I saw the recipe and couldn't believe how simple it was to make. It compliments many meals and we don't have to wait for Thanksgiving any more. She always told me it was easy. Many thanks for sharing!

Easy and excellent. Make sure you give them enough time to all pop open, to fully foam, and then simmer for a while. Don't be too quick, or consistency will suffer. It also helps to make them well in advance. They will thicken up considerably upon cooling/refrigeration. These are excellent and VERY easy.

This is perfect as is with adding only about 1/2 tsp of orange zest. Other than that it's great. I do like to play around with it to make it my own. Try using pineapple juice instead of orange juice. Yum. But the recipe as written is wonderful.
