This is the base recipe I always use, then I add extras depending on what's available--drizzle chocolate, different nuts, etc. Very good biscotti!

I love this recipe! My modifications are to use an extra egg yolk and 1/4 tsp of orange flavoring in the dough. I then glaze the logs with the left-over egg white and sprinkle with sugar.

These are absolutely delicious. I had never made biscotti before and they turned out perfectly. The only thing I did differently after taking the logs out of the oven the first time was to bake the sliced biscotti for 8 minutes or so on each side. Delicious, professional quality! Perfect for gifts!

Absolutely the best! Perfect biscotti with a wonderful nutty flavor. I tried it with a can of "Pistachio Lovers" Nut mix and it was great! My dad said it was the best he'd ever had and he knows his biscotti!

Just the right sweetness and crunch. And so pretty. Increased cranberries and reduced pistachios as other reviewers suggested.Didn't chop up pistachios.Having your hands wet to shape dough is a MUST.Impossible otherwise! The dough flattens out while baking so make sure they are only 2 inches wide and have enough height, or you might end up with stumpy biscotti! Mine got pretty wide while baking, but luckily I make the logs high. The next time I'll try to make make 3 logs out of same quantity.

This recipe was great! Very easy to make and the dough came out beautifully. I wanted to add some amaretto liqueur but didn’t have any on hand so I used 2 teaspoons coconut rum liqueur instead. That gave it a wonderful flavor! Also I doubled everything and it made about three or four dozen. I used almonds instead of pistachio nuts and did a cup of nuts and cup of dried cranberries. They tasted great and were very soft for biscotti!

This recipe was very good, very tasty and easy to make. I didn't have cranberries or pistachios so I used raisins and almonds instead, and it turned out great anyway.

This is a great recipe for biscotti! I was looking for a pistachio biscotti recipe and found this - I used 2 cups of pistachio and no cranberries. I also used white whole wheat flour instead of all purpose, and these turned out great. Just FYI, as others have mentioned these spread rather than puff up, so if you want a taller cookie make sure you shape your log a little taller and slimmer. Will be making again!

This is the best! This was my first attempt at biscotti and boy did it come out perfect! I never tried it before, although I love these, thinking it may be too much of a mission, but it was not! Also, I dont quite fancy those hard rock ones, but after reading some of these reviews, I went for it. My husband can not stop munching on them! A few changes I made, I increased the cranberries to 3/4 cup, and I only had half a cup of pistachios, so I added another half cup of almonds. It was just right, I think more nuts would have been alittle too much. I also reduced the sugar to half a cup. Everything else was just perfect! The cold water helped a ton with dealing with the sticky dough, and since I dint seem to have a problem with slicing the logs as other reviewers have mentioned? This recipe is a keeper!!

Holy biscotti, batman! Although the sticky log-shaping process gives you serious pause, have faith! These biscotti turn out amazing. Use any kind of dried fruit you want (but cranberry really is good) and vary the nuts (slivered almonds work great, too). These disappear faster than you can make them. Thanks for sharing this recipe.
