Great recipe. After I enjoyed the original recipe I doctored it: I added 1/4 cup red wine, a pinch of ground ginger and some orange zest.

I made this as an accompaniment for our turkey on Thanksgiving. It was a wild success. Great alternative to cranberrie sauce (which I also had made). Versatile recipe too - is great over ice cream. This will be a staple on my Thanksgiving table from now on.

This was easy to make and great tasting. I use it with plain yoghurt, but I can easily eat it as is because it was that nice.

This was a very tasty way to use up some fruit. This recipe couldn't be simpler to throw together. I served this compote with Maple Pork Slices from Allrecipes. Delicious!

I followed this recipe exactly and I only thought it was ok. It was good, because you never can go wrong with brown sugar and fruit, but there was no wow factor. Ate it with vanilla frozen yogurt.

Amazing! very simple, very good. Awesome way to get rid of over-ripe apples/pears.
