I love this cake at holiday time ! I've made it at holiday time for 3 years now and it just gets better. I'm going to try a sheet cake. If you want something for the holidays a bit different then cookies and pies this is it. VERY GOOD

I loved the cake. I omitted walnuts because I didn't have any on hand. I use craisins and the frosting was great. A make again dessert. This cake lasted less than a week in my house.

Made this into cupcakes for Christmas and they were fantastic!!! I did not use any of the orange peel, but everything else used and followed the recipe. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this RECIPE!!!

I make it a rule to never use cake mixes and should have kept to that rule. I found the cake a little dry with no clear flavour of cranberries. Was overall underwhelmed and won't be making again

Generally, I don't make any desserts that don't have at least a hint of chocolate in them...but this was really delicious. I brought it to a family dinner and everyone really enjoyed it. It was a nice, festive Christmas cake recipe that used up the lonely boxed cake that was at the back of my cupboard. I had never used (let alone bought) fresh cranberries before, and was worried about their texture and tartness in the final product, but they were a nice addition; aesthetically and for their flavour.
