I made these cookies this weekend and the recipe was a flop. The flour measurements were not accurate. It should have been at least a cup and a half of flour. They came out of the oven like lace cookies and fell apart. The temperature should have been 350o instead of 325. I would not make these again.

I made these this past weekend and they were by far the best cookie I have ever made. I was a little unsure at first but I cannot rave enough.

These are one of the abosulutely best cookies recipes I have ever tasted. I leave out the pecans and add more brown sugar and they come out a little more crispy on the outside. Once I found the recipe they became a Christmas tradition!

awesome. these cookies turned out so great, moist and wonderful for a change of pace form the usual. I'm not a huge vanilla chip fab, so I have made these with chocolate chips and they are great too.

I didn't change a thing, my husband rated them among the top 10 best things he has EVER had, someone else described them as heaven in a cookie and I don't care for pecans or cranberries, but these are one of my favorite things. Great tip: Make several batches at once for yourself, (you will want them, I did this when I knew I had 4 months of bed rest coming up and would want some of these) each batch in a ziploc bag, then when time comes to make them, add the vanilla and butter, mash up still in bag then add room temperature egg and mash again. Taste best when making 14-16 large bulky cookies, smash them down a bit, and bake 11-13 minutes, if you take them out too soon they will look like you did something wrong and not taste good either.

These mixes were a blessing to my Christmas season in so many ways: inexpensive and satisfying to assemble and give, beautiful in their jars on my counter decorated ready to be given, delicious baked, flattering when the rave reviews poured in after they were received and eaten...I can't praise them too highly. I'm gathering jars and formatting the recipe labels for this Christmas. It gives me a rich feeling just knowing I have this gift already picked out for so many on my list.

These were pretty in the jar but the cookies weren't anything special. My kids didn't like them and didn't eat them. My daughter entered them in our county fair and she didn't win a ribbon. I'm not impressed at all.

These were surprisingly good. My family said "yuck, cranberry cookies?" and I thought I'd be taking them to work so they wouldn't go to waste here. These were really nice cookies and we all liked them after all. They didn't turn out the prettiest as they really didn't spread much. This gave me 2 dozen cookies. Not bad, I might make these again sometime, but I don't think they were that memorable, just different.

Excellent recipe. Had to shoo hubby away when he came home from work. So we had some left. You have to make sure that you blend the butter, egg, and etc very well. As one reviewer said, 5-7 minutes. I didn't do this with my first batch and I had flat and crisp cookies. Second time around, everything went well. I used margarine the second time and liked them better with butter. I also added extra cranberries and chips, left out nuts the first time. I think that is necessary (to add more crans and chips).

I tried these as a new cookie recipe for a change, and now they are everybodies favorite cookie. I did add a teaspoon of almond instead of vanilla. These are my most requested when someone wants cookies, and at the holidays. Thanks for a great cookie recipe.
