Perfect recipe as written. I didn't want these for gifts, I just wanted a good cranberry and white chocolate chip cookie and these were SO it!! I made them quite large using 1/4 cup for each cookie so I had to bake about 11 minutes.

I wanted to try these cookies before the holidays to see if I liked them enough to give them as gifts and they were amazing! I can't stop eating them, so I'm definitely gifting these. Even though I was scared of beating the butter and egg without adding the sugar first, I followed the recipe exactly and they came out perfect.

This was a fun, fun gift to give. The name is great, but we thought the name was better than the cookie. Sorry.

The cranberries and white chocolate go together so well! I do have a hard time filling up the jar when I make this but it doesn't stop me.

FANTABULOUS!!!! Perfection, fluffy without being over soft...just the right amount of softness. I omitted the salt because I used salted butter and I used baking powder instead of baking salt.

I found the perfect size jar that was a little less than a quart at Christmas and the fit was perfect. These cookies are good too!

The cookie recipe is great, I got a lot of compliments when I made it. I also gave these away for Christmas in quart jars and they didn't fit tightly in the jar so after some shifting around it didn't look as pretty as I would have liked.

This is the best cookie recipe. I make them like traditional cookies. (beating the eggs and adding the sugar to that etc...) I do not add nuts and i use chocolate chips instead of the white one. It is a terrific recipe.

Baked three batches of these today to send to the college kids for Easter. I used chocolate chips instead of the white chocolate and they were YUMMY! Thanks for sharing!

A very tasty cookie! Not too sweet. I am giving this four stars because I mixed them up for myself, rather than following the jar recipe. I do think they would turn out alright even if you didn't cream the butter and sugar together first..

These look absolutely stunning when they are made in a jar with some ribbon and a card. The taste is amazing! My 6 year old nephew said these were the best cookies he had ever eaten.

INAUGURATION COOKIES!!! My daughter wanted an excuse to bring cookies for her class today, so last night, she asked what we could do that's red, white, and blue. I'd made these a couple of years ago as Christmas gifts, and we all loved them, so I suggested making them with red dried cranberries and the blueberry-flavored (thus blue) dried cranberries we got from our local cranberry grower. With the white chips they'd be very patriotic. She loved the idea, so we got up early this morning and made Inauguration Day Hootycreeks. I doubled the recipe and made them just like a typical drop cookie - creaming butter & sugars, adding eggs and vanilla, then stirring in the already mixed dry ingredients (I added 2 1/2 t. cinnamon.) They didn't spread nearly as much as they did when we made them out of the jar, but they still turned out lovely. I can't wait to hear how they went over at school.
