Tart berries, crunchy nuts and sweet chocolate are simply scrumptious when mixed together in this easy quick bread. Sometimes I'll top it off with an orange-flavored glaze.

We grow plenty of sweet potatoes, so I try to use them in different ways. Slices of this bread, studded with dried cranberries and nuts, are especially tasty served with the citrusy cream cheese spread.

Cranberry Bread is a natural coming from Oregon, a state famous for its cranberries. And each fall my husband and I go out and scrounge around picking up the walnuts for this delicious bread. A lady was presenting this bread at a food fair when I had the 'nerve' to ask her for the recipe. She obliged, and it's been a steady item in our menu ever since. But not just at Thanksgiving--heavens, no! I freeze the berries and have a ready supply all year long.

My husband never liked corn bread until I started making this recipe - then he'd eat half of it. I like to serve it piping hot with lots of real butter on the side. -Betty Kaytis, Elizabethton, Tennessee
