This is a great recipe. Be careful not to cook the sugar mixture too high once it starts to boil or it can burn. The chocolate chips spread great after sitting for just a minute on top of the crackers. Everyone loved it.

This is easy to make and easy on the budget. Makes a great food gift for the holidays. Like other reviewers I use 1 cup brown sugar rather than the white sugar. Thanks for the hint about spraying the foil with cooking spray. Makes removal of the "candy" after refrigeration so easy. Taste like a million $$$$.

This was a hit with everyone who tried it, I like the taste of the salty cracker with the sweet toffee and chocolate. I did have trouble getting mine off the cookie sheet without leaving a lot of the cracker layer behind.

Best candy recipe I've ever tried! Very easy to put together. Used 1 cup of brown sugar instead of white sugar and almonds in place of walnuts. Reminds me of a heath or skor bar. Out of this world.

yum yum yum. used pecans instead of walnuts. was concerned about the sugar-butter mixture not firming up, so i cooked it a couple extra minutes....actually JUST until it kinda starting separating (brown sugar used, by the way)--and it turned out perfectly! very rich, but very good. will make it again!

Help! I've had this before and it's wonderful, but personally, have botched this twice! I'm using a good-quality pan on elec. stove. Sugar/butter ends up grainy/thick. Need a more tangible measure of "done" than XX minutes. Can you help? Also, by way of tips, works easier in a greased jellyroll pan, no shifting crackers!

I was really excited to try this recipe, seeing how many people raved about it, I thought it would be better, maybe, just got to me in the mood for it. Although, my husband liked it with milk, of course:) The only thing I suggest is melting the choc chips before putting them on the crackers, it would look alot prettier, letting them melt...it didnt look pretty, presentation is important.

Old fashioned dessert. Very yummy! I tried it with milk chocolate chips and it didn't spread smooth like the semi-sweet. Will make over and over.

My roommates and I used to make this all the time, but when I moved I never got the recipe!! I was so glad to have finally found it!! I use 1 cup of brown sugar in place of the white. I prefer using milk chocolate chips, but you have to melt them before putting them on the crackers. Also, it's really good too if you just skip the chocolate and press chopped almonds into it. It's always good, no matter what you do with it!!!

Easy to make, yummy and nice looking when done. I topped mine with chopped pecans and used the brown sugar recommended by another reviewer. People were suprised when I told them it contained saltines!

I have made this "candy" for years. No one can believe it's made with cheap saltine crackers. It always dissapears and everyone wants the recipe. Be careful, it is addictive!
