These are great! Just like the ones you can get at the store or the ones you can make from pilsbury pre-made cookie dough.

I absolutely love these cookies!! I have not had a problem ever making them and they always turn out great. Gave a few to a co worker and started trouble. Now everyone wants some. Too bad, I have to save them all for myself!

I have searched high and low for the perfect sugar cookie and this is by far the best! My sons love these cookies, very soft center, full of flavor! I roll them in sugar or a cinnamom sugar mixture before baking. Just a wonderful recipe thank you!!!!! And, they don't get stale before you're done eating them!

Used this recipe to go with Fruit Pizza 2 recipe from this site, as I could not find refrigerated sugar cookie dough for the crust. This worked wonderful. Try the fruit pizza and use this as your crust. You won't be disappointed!

Perfect quick sugar cookie. I rolled them in a cinnamon/sugar mixture before I dropped them on the cookie sheet and it made the original cookie even better, give it a try!

Very good sugar cookie! Did't taste to sweet nor to tasteless, just right in between. Kind of flat. Add 1 cup of extra flour to fix that then bake about 9 minutes.

Delicious! These taste like the Pillsbury sugar cookies! I'm not sure if I added too much flour, but the dough was very crumbly. cookies were still nice and moist and tasted great, though! Thanks!

Easy, great tasting and texture-wise incredibly good! Try this tip I got from a friend to keep cookies from going stale in a few days (if there are any left!): put a slice a bread on top of the cookies when you store them. It keeps them from getting rock hard.

Very very good! It's a little on the thick side and soft in the middle. I refrigerated my dough for about an hour before baking, and this made it easy to roll into balls. Some I rolled in white sugar, some I rolled in cinnamon and sugar. Both were very tasty. Quick and easy, a recipe you'll reach for time and again.

Excellent, like shortbread! I cut the sugar in half and it was still plenty sweet. I also did not have enough white flour so substituted in 1 cup whole wheat flour -- amazingly, it is delicious and has a nice texture to it from the whole wheat -- deliciously melt-in-your mouth soft and crumbly, and just slightly chewy.

I made these 2 days ago and they are now gone! (I'm actually going to make some more tomorrow to take on a road trip.) I took the advice of others and rolled 1/2 of them in some cinn./sugar but even the ones I left plain were delicious! I know it's tough but resist the urge to flatten them, they do it on their own and it's amazing! Great "cracked" look and wonderful flavor. I will use this recipe from now on-I'm thinking of decreasing the sugar and adding mini choc. chips next time! Thanks :-D

This sugar cookie recipe is by far the best one I came across! I followed the directions of the recipe, but made a few slight changes: I didnt have real butter, so I used margarine.(I followed the advice, from another reviewer on here who used it: chilled the cookie dough for 30 mins in the fridge, before baking them. I added more vanilla extract, than what was called for (2 tbs), for more flavor. I mixed it in with the egg yolks. I mixed the dry ingredients well with a spoon once, and then sifted all the dry ingredients once, before adding it to the wet. This made the dough soft & managable, to shape. It also made the cookies turn out tender-soft, and slighty chewy. I rolled the dough in walnut size balls & coated them in white sugar first, before flatting them slightly (with the bottom of a glass cup) on slightly greased, cookie sheets. IF you like your sugar cookies topped with sprinkled sugar, and/or for them to be more flat shaped, than poofy...then do this, before baking them. They were still soft & tender in center, and delicious! I baked them, until the edges were barely slightly golden. They turned out PERFECT! My husband is picky about how his sugar cookies are made, said these were VERY good. He and his buddies, ate them all up! I thought they were the best home-made sugar cookies I made, and I am not even a sugar cookie lover. This recipe is a keeper! (Next time, I think I am going to try lemon extact, in this recipe.)
