Delish! I'm eating one this moment, and are they ever good! I only had some trouble (maybe not ?) getting the dough right, it ended up with a dippin dot sort of texture, so I needed to really squish the dough together. But in the long run, it was very good!

So good! I didn't change a thing. These cookies come out soft and tasty. Three people have asked me for my recipe.

(10 year old daughter reviewing) They are really good cookies. I baked them myself. The recipe was easy to follow. Mom said to mix the dry ingredients together first to make sure the baking soda is blended well.

sadly, i had less of the ingredients than i thought, so i substituted unsalted butter with 1/2 tsp salt for regular butter and 1 tbsp vinegar for one of the egg yolks. fortunantely, though, they came out amazing and i would definitely do this recipe again, perhaps without the substitutions.

These were great! This is a VERY easy to follow recipe. The cookies produced were crispy on the outside yet chewy and soft on the inside. Just be careful to not leave these in the oven for too long or they become too hard, and you're good to go...yum! :))

awesome cookie! i added 3 tbl of milk to keep the dough from being so crumbly, but it was still difficult to work with. however, it was worth the trouble of crumbly dough!! perfect moist, buttery sugar cookies. i rolled the dough balls in green and red sugar spinkles before cooking, yum! i have to make another batch because i ate too many with my coffee and dont have enough for my gift bags now. hahaha :) these are very versatile, i think my next batch may be rolled in cinnamon sugar..mmmm.

I thought these cookies were great, I frosted 1/2 the batch with a butter cream frosting and used sugar on the other 1/2. I liked the frosted ones the best.

These are the best sugar cookies I've ever made. I would recommend following the directions for adding the dry ingredients after putting all of the moist ingredients together. My third time making this I was in a hurry and threw all of the ingredients in, and my dough felt like sand. >.<

This is a great recipe. My son loves sugar cookies and I was down to my last stick of butter while baking cookies for Christmas. I found this recipe and decided to give it a try. These come out perfect.

Great cookies! I loved that I did not need to use a rolling pin. My kids enjoyed rolling the cookies in decorative granulated sugar.

We just made two batches of these cookies, and they are simply delicious! For the first batch, I followed the recipe, but we rolled them in red sugar(holidays). They were beautiful, moist and delicious. For the second batch, I ground a whole nutmeg in with the sugar (I wanted a cookie to complement the egg nog). Delicious!

I love this recipe. My 9 year old daughter helped me bake them for her class Christmas party. She suggested that we crush candy canes to powder and roll the dough balls in the candy cane before baking. Well I always knew she was brilliant! The cookies look and taste like the perfect Christmas treat.

These are by far the best homemade sugar cookies I have ever tasted. The next time I will try lemon extract instead of vanilla to give it a lemony flavor. *update* I had a sweet tooth and came across this recipe in my recipe box. I forgot how good these cookies are. They taste just like a brand named refridgerated sugar cookie dough.

This is the best sugar cookie recipe that I've found so far...and believe me I've made many batches of sugar cookies. I only made one adjustment which I think gives this cookie a 5 star rating. In addition to the vanilla extract I add Princess cake and cookie flavoring that you can get from KINGARTHURFLOUR online. Once you try this flavoring you will never use anything else. It gives the cookies that fresh bakery taste which is nutty and gives it awonderful citrus flavor. Try it! I bet you'll love it! My daughter and I also rolled them in red and green sprinkles. I think they definately need to be rolled in some type of sugar either granulated or colored sprinkles. Enjoy!
