I made this dip for Christmas dinner and my family enjoyed it so much, I had to make it again the next day for the Redskins' game! Like others, I made some changes adding Old Bay seasoning (2 Tbs), celery (1/4 cup), shredded cheddar (1 1/2 cups) and fresh garlic. Yum, yum, yum!

Unfortunately, I was the only one in my family of four that liked it. That being said, I probably won't make this again but I enjoyed it. I got to eat the whole thing! :) Boy am I stuffed! lol.

Excellent! I have made this many times and someone always asks for the recipe. The bread bowl makes a nice presentation but it works just as well served right from the casserole dish. Great on bread and crackers. Thanks for a great recipe.

A terrific basic dip! My favorite presentation is to serve this dip cold in a round mound on a plate with a "moat" of cocktail sauce surrounding the dip. This presentation avoids the "bland" complaints many of the reviewers have noticed. I serve it with Ritz crackers. Thanks for the recipe...

Great appetizer and easy to make. I premade it the night before and then baked as directed. It was very good and everybody loved it. My husband and I had some leftovers the next day and it was better cold. It's great hot or cold.

Excellent! When served with corn chips, it tastes a lot like crab rangoons from chinese restaurants.

Great but needs a few additions. I added marinated artichoke hearts and 1 cup parmesan cheese (fresh grated).

This is good. I sauteed the onion with some real garlic, crab and lemon to get rid of the "raw" onion/garlic taste. Added some Old Bay, but be careful you don't overkill with it. Will make again, but maybe tweek it some more.

Love it! I've given this recipe away to many. I like to make it for gatherings. I like to add 1 cup shredded cheddar and occasionally artichoke hearts for that artichoke crab dip flavor.

I served this as a spread along with the artichoke brushetta from this site. Served it with toasted french bread. I would recommend spicing it up a bit though. I think some diced red pepper or a little jalepeno may be nice.

This is a great recipe. I have made it twice to take to parties and both times it got great reviews. I opt to use 1 can crab meat and 6 oz imitation crabmeat. Makes the dip a little heartier I think.

This is absolutely the best crab dip and so easy to make! Recently my daughter and I went to a well known area resturant that makes crab dip that is out of this world and this comes very, very close to it.
