Great Recipe! I used the fake crab meat instead of the canned stuff. I also baked it in a dish instead of the loaf of bread. It was a hit at every party I've made it for!

I needed a cold crab dip and this was just great cold. Everyone loved it and finished it at a party! I put a little sour cream in it and added some cayenne pepper. I rinse, dry and lemon juice my crab meat.

This was a great dip and would be wonderful with less cream cheese, a little sour cream, and skip the salt.

Sorry, as written it is only 3 stars. When you follow the advice of others and add the sour cream, cayenne, and lemon and cut down on the cream cheese then we have a great dip.

My guests went crazy over this dip! It's simple, tasty, and went well with crackers, chips, and bread! I added a bit more Old Bay to my liking...but kept everything else the same. Love it!

LOVE THIS!!! So easy and delish! I added in some artichokes too, which worked out great. Either way this dip is a winner! Everyone I serve it to RAVES how good this is. I'm ashamed to admit how easy it is! I don't always use a bread bowl, sometimes I just bake it up in a pyrex dish and it works perfect with pita chips!

This was great!! I used left over crabmeat from a bushel we got with company. A friend of mine told me the bread gets soggy (not this recipe, when they make theirs) and you wind up throwing some out, so I did not put the dip in the bread, kept them separate, but baked both. One of the reviews said it was good hot or cold.......mine didn't last until it was cold so I don't know.

This is very good, but it does need the Old Bay or J.O. seasoning (omit salt if you add this), juice of 1/2 a lemon, and maybe a touch of horseradish. I shredded 1/2 cup of medium cheddar on top before baking.

This was great! I took the advice of the other reviewers and added about a tablespoon of Old Bay, a bit of lemon juice, a half cup of cheddar cheese, and a half cup of sour cream. I ended up letting it sit overnight before baking it, which certainly didn't hurt it and may have helped. I also sprinkled the top with parmesan cheese before baking. It was SO good! And the little bit of leftovers heated up quite well.
