These are great. I used 1/2 butter & 1/2 margerine so they don't spread too much. They have become my standard chocolate chip recipe. For a treat lightly toast the oats before you add them.

The taste was good on these. But as another reviewer mentioned, these came out too flat. I would not use this recipe again.

Very good. I added a touch of cinnamon to the batter, and chilled the dough before dropping on to the pan with a cookie scoop. I pulled them out while they were set on the outside but still a little raw on the inside, so they became wonderfully chewy after they cooled.

I've been making these cookies for a while now. They are wonderfully and tasty. I cut the butter, white and brown sugar to 3/4 cup, and I don't add nuts. Enjoy!

These are super yum! I took some suggestions and used butter-flavored shortening instead of butter, and added butterscotch chips to the mix as well. I think the butterscotch makes them a little too sweet, so maybe next time Ill decrease the sugar just a bit.

I made this last night (after it was a featured recipe) and I'm so glad I did - rave reviews all around! my only change was substituting earth balance (vegan) "butter" with regular butter. They still came out very chewy.

I modified this recipe to be healthy and it ended up tasting great. unfortunately the exact modifications have been lost due to other people's computer issues, but this is what I remember: - 3/4 cup whole wheat pastry flour - 3/4 cup oat bran - 1/2 cup wheat germ - 3/4 tsp salt - 1 tsp ea baking powder and soda - 1/4 c butter - 1/2 c non-fat yogurt - 1 c white sugar - 1 c packed brown sugar - 4 egg whites - 1 tsp vanilla extract - 2 cups rolled oats - 1 c mini chocolate chips - apple juice as needed for moisture/flavor (i think i replaced osme of the sugar with apple juice as well, but i can't rememeber now)

My husband loves these cookies. I made a few changes. I chop the oatmeal in the blender before mixing it in. My hubby likes a smooth cookie. Also , I don't add nuts. My daughter has an allergy. And finally , I freeze the dough before cooking. This makes the cookies ooey gooey in the middle and crisp on the outside.

These turned out to be great cookies, but I made some changes. I added almost a cup of extra oatmeal and a bit of extra flour. I substituted whole wheat flour for 1 cup of the white flour. I also used about 3 Tbsp less butter than called for, and I only used 3/4 cup of white and 3/4 cup of brown sugar. I doubled the chocolate chips and the vanilla. My cookies were plump and moist and flavorful. Thanks for the recipe!

Good Cookie - easy to put together and bake. I'd give it 5 stars if the cookie were a bit softer.
