They're ok, they don't have that WoW these are great. They are a little bland. It does need 2 eggs as it was too dry so I added before baking. But it does have that, it's missing something taste.

These are delicious!! Ofcourse I had to make a batch to test them!! I made them with kids, and we had fun! The cookie dough, is quite dry though, so it was messy. But yuum yuum yuum!! Oh yea, we used splenda instead of the sugars! Healthy and good!

I forgot to rate this recipe when I made it last year. It was fun, pretty and everyone loved it! I used some gingham material to decorate the jar. They are delicious, too.

I made a few jars for an upcoming bake sale, and since I'm also doing some baking for it I figured I'd "test" the recipe and offer the baked cookies for sale also. I'm debating as to whether I should add a "what to to if brown sugar hardens" tip on the tag, because that happened to me. I just picked out the chunks and let them sit in the melted butter (which was still warm) and after a minute I could mashed them with a fork. Chunks were easy to pick out so i priobably could have popped them in the microwave to soften up, too. After that everything came together nicely and I thought cookies were very tasty. Liked the size, too - mine were a good 3/4" thick and about 3" in diameter when baked. Again, just a bit concerned about the brown sugar thing if a recipient isn't an experienced baker.

Well - the cookies aren't half bad...yet the mix is fun to make, especially for kids, and pass along...I layered as such: flour (with soda, salt and powder mixed in) on bottom, oats, brown sugar, white sugar, nuts and chocolate chips on top...making sure to press down and even out along the way...Had no problem fitting all ingredients into 1 quart jar...Used mini baking chips as suggested and topped with decorative material and instruction note...The cookie dough is easy to work with and the cookies are very hearty...wonder what they would taste like if substituted raisins for chocolate chips...or split the chips in half and added half raisins?
