This is my new go to recipe for white bread! I gave my grandmother a loaf of this bread, and when she tried it she said it was just like the bread her grandmother used to make. Only thing I did different was I halved the sugar as that seemed like an awful lot for bread. Glad I did as you can still taste the sugar. But overall this bread is perfect for an everyday bread.

This is a great recipe. In the past, I haven't had much success with rising bread recipes, but I thought I'd give it another try and followed the instructions. It turned out fantastic. Everybody loved it and, as some other reviewers said, I'm sure I'll be making this and other rising bread recipes in the future. Great, easy recipe even for a novice baker.

I am from the Islands of the Bahamas. So enjoying really good homemade bread is a must. But this bread I baked tonight using this recipe was amazing. I will call the one "The Royal Loaf".

An easy and tasty recipe. I just use my stand mixer or my food processor to whip up this dough fast. Have made so many loaves lately the recipe is memorized!

I must have really gotten the directions wrong because my loaves turned out heavy and grainy. I had wanted to surprise my husband with homemade bread, the surprise was on me!

I love this recipe! It is tried and true (with 3 picky kids!) This bread is wonderful, has a moist, fresh taste. Like goldilocks, not too hard, not to soft...just right! Great for sandwiches, and this bread also has a good shelf life compared to many other recipes I've made. It's the only one I'll make now!

Love this bread. I only tencially had a bite (low carb diet) but my husbad, grandmother and daughter all loved it. I did end up with three lofes and the third one I rolled it and added brown sugar and cinnimon. But I dont buy bread any more and this is a good white bread my husband hates when I cook wheat lol.

What a great bread receipe and it was so easy as well. Once it doubled in size I split it in two and then I added italian seasonsing to one loaf, kneaded it in and baked it in a 1 qt. greased cassarole dish. It was wonderful! Now I have Italian Country Bread and White Country Bread. The only thing missing was the nutritional information.

This bread came out of the oven like it was from a bakery! I am a new bread-maker, so that made me feel very proud! Not only did it look beautiful, but it tasted fabulous! My 2 yr old had a slice and said "Dee-licious! I will make this again and again.

I love the simplicity of this bread recipe. It's a little too sweet for my tastes but that is easily remedied by halving the sugar amount. This recipe is worth giving it a try. ^_^

A fabulous recipe. I liked the sweetness and it was so easy to make. I've made a lot of different breads for my family but this is the first recipe that my husband actually really likes. The crust is soft which I like and it's a perfect loaf bread.

So fast and easy. I've always dreaded baking homemade bread, but this was a wonderful recipe. Just the right amount of sweetness. I ended up needing 1 to 1 1/2 cups more flour than was called for. My husband tasted it and pretty much forbid me from ever buying store-bought bread again.

Excellent Bread! Super easy to make. I adjusted the amount of sugar down to 1/3 cup and it is still slightly sweet. I will probably take it down to 1/4 cup next time. Nice crust on it and soft on the inside. I will be making this bread often.

This is a great recipe. I halved the recipe and used my Kitchen Aid Mixer and the results were great. When I punched it down and shaped the loaf I added some garlic powder, chopped green onions and cubed cheddar cheese to make Fergassa??? bread. My husband LOVED it! Thanks!
