I never made barbecued ribs until I moved to the South. Now I have learned how to fix 'em tender and finger lickin' good. Everyone loves the tasty sticky sauce on these ribs. They're my favorite entree, served with slaw and baked beans.

Whenever I need a surefire company pleaser, I cook up these scrumptious ribs. Usually, I double or triple the recipe, since the ribs freeze well and keep their flavor when reheated. The meat's tender and tasty every time.

'When planning to make ribs one day, I remembered that a friend had given me homemade plum jelly,' relates Ila Mae Alderman from Galax, Virginia. 'I stirred some into the sauce for a pleasant fruity accent.'

These country-style pork ribs marinated in bourbon, brown sugar, and garlic are best cooked on the grill, but can also be baked. Serve with a crispy salad and garlic cheese potatoes for a great dinner!

Slowly baking these baby back pork ribs before grilling is the secret. That, and the finely-tuned, sweet, basting sauce.

This is a very easy recipe (just the kind I like!) that I got from my sister-in-law. I like to make it in winter as a way to capture the barbecues of summer.

Here's a zesty southern two-step! Step one: bake ribs in a simple wine vinegar marinade. Step two: quickly barbecue to finish with a zesty sauce of cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, brown sugar and hot pepper sauce.
