My husband and I took this cobbler over to our friends' house for dessert, and it was definitely a hit! I was skeptical of using cheddar cheese in a dessert dish, but we couldn't believe what a difference the cheese made! We used cool-whip instead of ice-cream, and it tasted just as yummy!

YUM!!! This cobbler crust will be my go-to recipe for cobbler crust from now on. I wasn't too sure about the tapioca in the filling, but the filling was really good, too. The cheese in the crust was fabulous! Don't miss this recipe!

We absolutely loved this recipe. I had bought a bag of apples and they didn't get eaten as quickly as anticipated. So we made this cobbler and my kids and husband gobbled it up. Couldn't be better. The cheese made it really special.

I thought this recipe tasted great. However, I modified it slightly. I don't like walnuts, so I didn't include any. I used vermont sharp cheddar. I didn't add any water, I just mixed the ingredients with the apples as though I were making a pie. And, I used flour instead of the tapioca. In any case, it was delicious, and we ate it warm :)

Good recipe, and the idea of a cheddar crust was intriguing, but ultimately I didn't enjoy it all that much. I guess I don't particularly care for "interesting" desserts. :-)

I substituted pears for this recipe, as the kids had eaten all the apples I thought I had to make this. I cute down on the sugar as pears are sweeter, and it turned out wonderful. Going to make again this holiday season. It was a big hit.

This is basically a good recipe. I changed it a bit by adding cardimom to the apples and placing nuts and cheese on top of apples, leaving some remaining cheese for the batter. It was a hit at a breakfast at work and family enjoyed it for a birthday treat. ;-)

This cobbler was good. It wasn't the best cobbler I have had and I will probably try a different recipe next time I want to make it. For me, it had too much dough and not enough apples.

This recipe is great!!! The cheese added to the topping is excellent!! I sprinkled sugar on the dough once it was spread over the top, which looked great and added a little more crunch!

Excellent! Everything worked great. the only suggestion is when cooking it in the oven have it placed on a foil lined pan.

This is fantastic! I made it for my in-laws and we all couldn't stop talking about how good it was. The cheddar gives the crust a nice tangy flavor that is a wonderful compliment to the sweet baked apples. This is going to become a regular menu item in my house!
