A wonderful topping...canned cherry pie filling. I know you're thinking "ugh" but it's very delicious. I also use creamed corn for 1/2 of the corn.

These were excellent! Tasted like the corn fritters you can get at mom-and-pop country restaurants. Connecticut-born hubby had never had these, and he loved them. Thanks for submitting some good old fashioned Southern cuisine.

This was a HUGE HIT. My whole family loved it, I tweaked the recipe just a bit.using cream corn and 1/4 cup sugar like others had suggested.

As I'm from the UK I've never tasted these little beauties before. I'd watched a cookery programme, where an American lady spoke highly of these, so I thought I'd give them a go. Anyway, the recipe was very easy to follow & the only thing I did was to add less salt & sugar (in the UK we try & use salt as little as possible in recipes) I fried them in Crisp & Dry & they turned out wonderful. My husband & daughter were a little apprehensive to try them but my daughter dived in with a BBQ dip & said they'd grow on her, my husband said he'd like some peppers mixed in with the corn. So, these get a thumbs up from the UK & we'll probably have them again maybe with some chicken? Could you please tell me what I should serve these with?

Oh My Gosh. These are fantastic. I used self rising flour and skipped the salt and baking powder. I used a package of corn I had frozen last fall. The package contained precooked corn, hot and sweet peppers and onions chopped fine. I thawed the corn in the microwave and drained in a sieve. I made them smallish and got 28. Calculated to be 57 calories each.

My mother used to make these and they are my favorite! I love to put powdered sugar over them, it makes a sweet treat. Great!

I'm a beginning cooker, and made these for a church potluck. even though I quadrupled the recipe, they disappeared in minutes! Easy to do, and very tasty- my friends have been begging me to make these again ever since.

These are perfect! The only little change I made was adding 1/2 tsp of sugar instead of the 1/4 tsp. I did that mostly because I was too lazy to search my drawer for the 1/4 tsp spoon. :)

Light and fluffy! My whole family loved these. I added extra sugar, as suggested by other reviews. I also put the corn in my mini-food processor, and chopped it up a little, as I thought they would be better like that, than with whole kernels -- they turned out GREAT this way!

As a Canadian, whose never had hush puppies or fritters, it was an interesting recipe. I wanted to dip them in something for more flavour. Loved all the corn though! I'm looking fwd to travelling south and tasting the real thing. :)
