These are yummy. I recommend cutting the hot dog into several smaller pieces and putting 3-4 pieces in each cornbread mixture.

These were very simple and fast to prepare...which is always a plus! Kids loved these muffins and I did too - even though I am not a corndog lover! I will definitely make these again. The only thing I did differently is that I used only 1 tbls of brown sugar...turned our perfect.

I'm a poor college kid so this was cheap to make and still tasted great! Leftovers are even better. I cut the recipe in half since I was only making it for myself. And I definitely didin't use brown sugar! Turned out great!

I love the concept of this recipe. We had a barbecue and made WAY too many hot dogs and had a ton leftover. By day three we were getting pretty hot dogged out so I needed to do something different with the leftovers and came across this recipe. I didn't have any corn bread mix on hand so I made the Sweet Corn Bread recipe by Virginia Hanker from this site. It was easy and turned out delicious! Thanks for the great idea. I wonder why I never thought of it?

These were good. My kids thought they were cool. My 17 year old thought they were especially good. I added a jalapeno ring to some of them to give them a little kick. Next time I may add some canned corn (drained). thanks ~

Made these for the kids tonight. Big Hit. Used 1 box of jiffy cornbread mix and halved the recipe and like others, I also mixed my "small chopped" hot dogs in with the batter. For those who had dry muffins, I only baked mine for 12 minutes and they were 8 moist perfect Corn Dog Muffins. We even ate them w/mustard!!

Great recipe! Perfect "corn dog" taste! Loved the brown sugar addition. Since hot dogs don't come in packs of 9, I cut the recipe down to 5 hot dogs, cut lengthwise and then in pieces. I mixed the egg and milk in a large bowl. Then added the brown sugar and 1 box of Jiffy corn muffin mix. I added 1/2 c shredded cheese and the hot dogs. I poured the entire mixture in a lined 12-muffin tin. After turning golden brown (temerature and time as recipe), I broiled them on low for an additional 5 minutes. These were addicting!!!

I think Jiffy makes the best and I have tried both leaving the hot dog pieces large and cutting them up kinda small and the Smaller pieces were WAY better! These are super good, I like to make it with "Insanely Easy Vegetarian Chili" from this site!!

these are very good. my son ate 4! and he has already asked when I am going to make them again. I only used 1 tablespoon brown sugar after reading some of the reviews. They turned out great, however I did have to cook them about 23 minutes. I will definitely be making these again.

Pretty good, will be made about every month. I did not put in the brown sugar, and it didn't seem like it was needed. I would suggest leaving the hot dog slices as big as will fit in the pan, I sliced them up to about 1/4 inch wide and there were some bites where you didn't get hot dog. If you want to really taste the cheese, add a little extra.

I used chicken franks and cut them into bite sized pieces. Came out terrific! I am not sure I'd keep the cheese in the recipe - I used a generous amount of very sharp cheddar, and could not taste it at all. It was good, but didn't taste like it has cheese in it. Maybe next time I will add more.

My kids just loved these. I liked them because they were easy to make. I'm not a big fan of hot dogs, so I didn't try any, but I trust my kids judgment! The only change i made was using less hot dogs (4) and mixing them into the batter.
