Very bland. I think the thing that is missing is cheese?? Not sure.

I have made a corn casserole for years, and tonight i used Paula Deen's (which is the same as this). Funny thing was my daughter made it for her dinner also and we experienced the same problem. Gummy! And I know why, no eggs as we usually use. Much, much better with egg.

Didn't give 5 stars because it is corn afterall, and no corn dish is 5 star quality. But, as corn dishes go, this is definitly one of the best. Was looking for something than just plain ole cream of corn or corn on the cob and this was a great choice. The kids liked it as well and will be making this a regular dish.

IU've used this recipe for years. My husband teaches at a small school and at Thanksgiving they serve dinner to the students. I am always requested to make the "corn casserole" The teachers hide it for themselves. lol I also saute green pepers and onions and add to the recipe.

The absolute best corn casserole EVER! I always get asked to make this for functions (even though anyone could make it easily). And when I make it, I always share this web site so people can come get the recipe themselves - they always ask how its made!

This is a winner recipe. I make this exactly as stated whenever I need to bring a dish somewhere and it always gets wonderful remarks. I personally am not a sour cream fan but you cant taste it in here. It just makes it extremely moist! A++++++

Another family fav! I use two creamed corn cans instead of one regular and one creamed can of corn. I think it makes it more creamy in texture.

Tastes great, when it finally cooks. A 1 qt casserole is not nearly large enough. I HIGHLY recommend using a 9 x 13 cake pan rather than a casserole dish, otherwise it will be in the oven much longer than the recipe calls for.
