I absolutely LOVED this recipe. I did, however, change it a bit. I used sage sausage, like Jimmy Dean. I completely omitted the bread crumbs, and used more cornbread. But the best addition, CRAISINS. It added just a bit of moisture, but not too much. Unbelievable!

Stuffing was great, used less bread crumbs and more cornbread though. Leftovers dried out quickly however and had to add substantial broth to moisten. Good recipe but nothing beats traditional stuffing. Won't make again. Nice for a one time change.

Its been more than 20 years since I cooked anything from scratch and I'd forgotten how to make dressing, so when I found this receipe I was grateful. What I was not prepared for was how wonderful it would turn out. The only thing I changed was to double the recipe use Turkey Italian sausage and chicken stock to moisten. My brother who generally hates stuffing because its so dry ate 4 helpings. I will likely never use another recipe for dressing, this one was just turned out wonderful. Thank you so much for posting it.

This was a pretty good recipe, although I added hot sausage by mistake. I will make this again and again, as there were no leftovers. Thanks for sharing.
